Just because one of the deities is more powerful than the others doesn't mean that the remainder are not still deities. Before anybody can claim a religion to be monotheistic or polytheistic, you need to define what it means to be a god.

anyways, judging by a couple posts we've hit the problem of evil again.
along with definition of "a god", which is fairly commonly agreed upon by the western-minded deists, I would think.
Problem of evil in summarized format: if God made everything and evil exists, isn't he responsible for that evil, thus-to a degree, evil as opposed to benevolent?
