If magic was in Twillight Princess...

As most of you know Twillight Princess is the only 3D console game to lack the use of magic. They did plan to put magic in as seen by the cave of Ordeals (Wii vesrsion only). What items would have used magic and what other items would have been added? I beleive:
-Gale Boomerang: would have used magic the "Fairy of the Winds" thing was probably a cheap way to explain how a boomerang could create wind without an external magic source.
-Fire and Ice arrows: (replaces Bomb Arrows)would have been in Twillight Princess and you could have used the Light arrows.
-Magic Armor: painfully obvious. Magic Armor should run on magic not rupees. (It really doesn't even make sense why armor can run on rupees.)
Dominnion rod: It obviously needs some kind of energy to charge up those stautues.
-Sol charged master sword: A bit iffy becuase the Sols are technically the power source but all other charged spin attacks need magic.

Whoa, Nintendo should have used Magic in Twilight. I just now thought about all of those excuses!

Re: If magic was in Twillight Princess...

I'd probably like this game a lot better if there was magic.

Also, on the back of the box for the wii version, there's a screenshot of link fighting a darknut with a green bar under his hearts...huh ...

so they were too lazy even to update the boxart. But what do you think should have used magic?

I actually liked the "Fairy of the Winds" explanation; it made the item feel more unique.

I don't see why fire or ice arrows would be needed in this game. Besides, if you could use the Light Arrows at the end, the horseback battle with Ganondorf would have been even easier.

I agree with this, though using rupees to power the armor was alright, considering where Link got the armor from.

True.

I don't agree with this. The Sols are infused with the Master Sword and cause the blade to constantly glow. The spin attack is just a spin attack.

Re: If magic was in Twillight Princess...

Okay, I like the fact that magic isn't in TP.

I like the fairy of winds in the boomerang, I doubt that it oiginally used magic, since it's an item that is used very often. Unless of course if you run out of magic the boomerang loses it's wind properties.

Fire and Ice arrows have been in every 3-d Zelda game so far, I'm fine with them being out. Bomb arrows are much better IMO.

The magic armor is seen first in the hyrule castle town shop. The original owner was greedy, so there might have been some spell put onto the armor to suck rupees. Me likey.

The dominion rod? The game says it's a piece of technology made by the oocca. Why would it need magic?

Sol infused MS? It's energy are.... the sols....

To be honest, I see my oil supply as magic. Not that it's needed very often.

It's cool watching the early trailers of what was once called "Zelda Gamecube" and seeing the magic bar. I didn't realise there was a magic bar on a screenshot on the box art. Maybe they took it out because of the no ice/fire arrows?

Its not a bad excuse and it does make it unique but I still feel it was an excuse why a wind controlling boomerang didn't need magic.

I don't see why fire or ice arrows would be needed in this game. Besides, if you could use the Light Arrows at the end, the horseback battle with Ganondorf would have been even easier.
Bomb arrows ae better. I'm saying that they would have been there if magic was in the game. As for Light Arrows the horseback fight would have been harder as you had to get close enoguht o Ganondorf and aim at him on back of the horse.

Yeah I suppose. Catch 22's explanation works.

True.

I myself wasn't too confident on that. The Sol's are the power source.

Re: If magic was in Twillight Princess...

Magic would of made it a little harder, but more Zelda-ish. In which is something I would of delth with in TP.

It would not make an extream difference, but using magic to power some of the items would be awesome.

*Looks at post 6.*

True, In my opinion.

I like the fairy of winds idea, is better than "simply magic".

The fire/ice arrows are bored, we have it in WW nad OOT and other zelda gemes, im fine with the bomb arrows.

The magic armor is a powerful weapon/accesory, TP isnt a very difficult game,if we only needed spend magic to wear the magic armor we use alot the magic armor, but because we really apreciate money/rupees we use the magic armor only a little bit.

The dominion rod isnt a real wepon, we only use the dominion rod in some part of the game.

Only if the master sword shoot some kind of energy.

In other games the lantern spend magic(ALTTP) but in TP spend oil.
Is obvsiosly that nintendo with TP want to made a game more realistic.

Sorry I didn't know that. I've only played 3D Zelda. I bought Majora's Mask off Ebay and hope to get it by Wedensday.

Re: If magic was in Twillight Princess...

I would have liked magic in this game as well. I always have felt like it missed something.
But I did like the fairy of the winds Idea. The way you obtained that item ws unique because the mini-boss uses it and it is not inside of a chest as most items are. After seeing this I was excited but it never happened again....... TP got worse and worse as I progressed through the game...
