Whoa.. Twilight Princess is defintely not deeper in story over OoT. OoT's plot was very deep and very complex.

Twilight Princess has a rather basic, straight forward plot with no real depth. It's a good game, but again.. It's just not as good as OoT.

And why would you call the people who like OoT more, fanboys/girls? We are all Zelda fans...We're all lil fanboys/girls.

But even so, the same could be said for you. It seems more like fans are calling TP the better game because its the newest game that they were handed... The game was very flawed and very rushed. It just doesn't beat the likes of OoT, MM or WW.

I find Oots way more generic than TP's, but I dont want to start an argument. The truth is both games are great and I am sorry for generalizing people under the whole Oot fanboy/girl thing. Its just that I prefer Tp, thats all. And again, srry if I offended anybody with the whole Oot fanboy/girl thing.

How were they generic? It was an improved version of the N64's style- semi-realistic yet cartoony characters at the same time. It's much more original than your dead-pure realism or your dead-pure cartoonism.

If you're talking about random NPCs that walk around Hyrule Castle town, who gives a **** about them if they serve no purpose? And the NPCs in TP were awesome; look at the two clowns. Look at the chicken lady. Far more original than OoT's boring selection.

Not as bad or as lifeless as OoT's, which is undeniable. OoT's was terribly cliched, and virtually nonexistant. Ganondorf didn't have the depth that he gained in the later games, doing nothing to evolve the "evil wizard/knight" archetype, Zelda's only depth was Sheik, some of the sages (That one Gerudo) really didn't have to be in the game, and could have been replaced with others, Midna had far greater depth than Navi; I'm sorry, but TP had better character development. You even get to see some of Link's emotions in the game.

and replay value? Are you kidding?

Moreso than OoT's; the sidequests were more challenging and more in-depth. The bosses were more interesting and visually pleasing than OoT's, so that's a plus, and the cutscenes were far more cinematic than OoT's. There is plenty of replay value, if you judge all of the aspects of the game.

TP is vaguely nostalgic, but why play a lesser game when I can just play OoT/MM/WW?

The thing is, it isn't a lesser game. If you want to continue playing the same ten-year-old game and deny the flaws that it has that TP escaped, you can do so, but don't tell people who see TP as a better game that they're wrong. Just because it wasn't as "revolutionary" as OoT doesn't make it inferior.

All of them have better levels, more interesting NPCs, more replay value and are just better in every sense of the word.

Sorry, but OoT was boring as hell compared to TP; tWW and MM are on par, though.

Actually.. TP's replay value, imo, is very low. I haven't picked it up in months. Yet Ive played both MM and WW.

I recently played MM again, and found it swell; I recently picked up OoT, and questioned how it could be so overrated. If I had a working copy of Twilight Princess, I would pick it up, and finish the bug hunt and its version of the "pit of trials." I'd probably go fight Ganondorf again, because those final scenes did the character justice; I found OoT's portrayal clown-ish, whereas TP's Ganondorf had a true "evil" persona. I'd probably start a new file, and enjoy the truly epic plot and atmosphere that OoT should have had.

i like it for size and landscape, an it has the best action of any 3-d zelda to date

Twilight Princess is NOT short. It had seven decently long dungeons, two slightly shorter ones, three twilight sections, all of the intense side stories sections in-between dungeons, and not even mentioning all the sidequests and explorable areas. (Cave of Ordeals, anyone?)
