I just now realized this. how come the little rito kid that used to be atotal wimp with the din pearl gets bigger but link doesn't!!!

He doesnt get bigger with the Din Pearl, he gets more mature without it in fact

go to TWW Imformation and click on characters and scroll down untill you get down to Komali and it will show you him young and him old.

You mean prince komali? He doesn't get taller, he just gets more courage(or something) and sort of gets a more confident stance that makes him look taller.

He gets a scale from Valoo and grows wings, maybe those make him look bigger or more mature or something. Hell it could've just caused a growth spurt or something. The game has no set time (So many days and nights between when you see him "young" and when you see him "old") but basically he just has some sort of growth spurt or something. Link doesn't. It's really not something that big.

I also think that Din's Pearl is kind of the "heroes clothes" in the Ruto culture, and it's a sign that you get it once you mature. Link is only transporting it, and is not part of the Ruto, so he wouldn't be affected by it.

And Prince Komali gets mature after he sees that Valoo has calmed down and how brave Link is. Link is sort of a model for Komali to be brave, that's why the Rito Chieftain sent Link to Komali thinking that Komali would look up to Link.

And the wings seem to give him more height. Think how small a bird is but when you see their wingspan they're pretty big...but put that with the Rito but instead of length go with height.

I don't think the Pearl is a sort of "heroes clothes" because then every Rito youngling Komali's age would have to have it. Remember his grandmother, the Assistant to Valoo, had it before and passed it on to Komali before she got killed by Valoo's rage or died mysteriously.

But not everyone had the heroes clothes in other games. Not exactly like that, but more so of an "of age" thing, to show maturity. Plus it's obviously different since he's a Prince and in royalty in the Ruto culture.
