Honestly , I don“t think that beliving in those strategy guides is a very good idea. Everywhere it says different. I“ve heard even that Link would be 16! LOL!
No but seriously, I trust what I see. He“s the same age as Princess Zelda and she“s 18-19.^^

although, have you guys noticed that even though Link is coming towards the end of his teens, he has no facial hair...
And when he was Sumo wrestling, he didn't even have any chest hair.
I mean, I know he'd look weird with chest and facial hair, i just thought it was weird...
