Shortcuts in TP

As mostly everyone knows, zelda games contain alot of traveling shortcuts. OoT had the Lost Woods shortcuts to Goron City and Zora's River, plus the Lake Hylia tunnel as a kid, and the shortcut to Lake Hylia from Gerudo Valley by jumping into the river. ALTTP had the whirlpools, LoZ had the underground stairways, etc.

So where are the shortcuts in TP? The only two that I know of are a pit in the courtyard just south of the castle town, which leads to Lake Hylia, and an underwater tunnel leading from Queen Rutela's grave, also to Lake Hylia. Aren't there any more than those two? Has anyone found any others?

SSBB Code: 2664-1977-4287 Phantom Hourglass Code: Hourglasses are outdated. Get a clock. Mario Kart DS Code: But I wasn't speeding, officer! Metroid Prime: Hunters Code: Hunting is wrong. Animal Crossing DS Code: Stay out of my town, dammit!
TP has the warp portals. Those are the shortcuts. And there's actually quite a lot of them compared to the other games.

Also, ALttP had the bird in the Light World, and OOT had the warp songs. MM had the Song of Soaring, and TMC had the Ocarina of Wind. Don't forget them.

I didn't include those because warps aren't the same as shortcuts. Anyone can just use a warp to get somewhere, but when you want to travel the scenic route, shortcuts give you more options. TP has several paths you can take in a few areas, including Hyrule Field, but they're not shortcuts because they're not short and not secret. The only two real shortcuts I know of are the two that lead to Lake Hylia, so I'm looking for info on any more like those

Well maybe tp didn't have any short cuts cause there was already enough warp points.

Warps are just for fast travel though... it's the difference between taking a car somewhere because you're late, vs taking a walk in the park. I like taking walks and enjoying the view, not warping here and there constantly. That's why LoZ and OoT were so great, there wasn't just one specific route you HAD to take to get somewhere.

Well, when you have bombs you can blow up large rocks to make more pathways. Does that count?

The two different shortcuts to Lake Hylia that have been mentioned are the only others I know.

Umm there's a shortcut in the sled game, but that's the only place I know of. I didn't even know the two you posted!

Yes there is. I guess that should count for something, since you have to do the sled game any time you want to go to Snowpeak Manor.

There's the water tunnel with lit flames near to the fishing place just after you leave the Zora's waterfall area that leads straight to the Northern Hyrule field.

Is that a shortcut or something else?

That does act as a shortcut, but at one point it's also the only way out of where you are at the moment.

Am I the only one that noticed the "wolf-holes" in the tunnel in the faron woods?
You can dig near the start of the tunnel and end up at the end of the tunnel.

I was kinda surprised that they put a that useless shortcut in the game.XD

That was a pretty nice touch. I'm thinking in terms of shortcuts that lead to whole other sections of the game map though, like OoT's did

Is that the cave in the begining of the game?

yeah i noticed that wolf hole, lol not much point.

i was going to say the place outside the fishing house to northern hylia, but said.
i don't think there are more than that, and i think it is because of warping.
i know the shortcuts are nice, and i like them too, just they didn't put them in
because you ca just warp. they must have thought they weren't needed. gah.
