TWW Link's clothes
Alright, while reading over some old threads here at ZU for the nostalgia, it's come to my attention that many people think the clothes Link wears in The Wind Weaker befre getting the Hero's Clothes are his pyjamas. Um...why?
![]() It'd make much more sense for them to be his normal clothes, wouldn't it? If they were meant to be his pyjamas, I somehow doubt he'd have them on while he's outside. I'm also confused about why'd he go on a journey across a post-cataclysmic ocean in his PJs. (That is, in the Second Quest.) So, could someone please answer why people think they're his pyjamas, and not his normal clothes, because I can't find any in-game quote or anything stating they're pyjamas.

If I lived on a soft green tropical island inhabited by only four or five people, my pajamas might be my regular clothes. I know I would never wear shoes.

Well, in the beginning of the game, you see him sleeping in that garb. Most people sleep in pajamas. One would logically assume that those clothes are his pajamas.

most people don't get all comfied-up in their jammies to go sleep on top of a lookout tower with seaguls, though
![]() It doesn't mater to me what they are, and actually, the idea of our little hero saving the world in his jammies is quite cute ![]() |

in the first quest he is wearing the Hero's clothes, which everyone can see, in second quest he is wearing the hero's new clothes, which can't be seen by anyone but the pure of heart, so he wears his clothes over his PJs

Where did Adam_148 get THAT? I think you're thinking of the Master Sword, which can only be USED by the pure of heart.
I think they look like pajamas. If you're going to wear a tunic, you usually wear leggings, not pants. But why does it really matter?I've seen more than one picture of Aryll with skulls on her dress. Why skulls? In the game, her dress has flowers. That's the kidn of pajamas-or-clothes detail I don't really care about.

It says in the guide that they are pajamas. Nintendo has called them pajamas. IGN calls them pajamas. They are pajamas.

Thanks for clarifying that, everyone who did!
I've never finished Wind Waker (got bored of finding the Triforce and got TP) and I haven't gotten very far in PH, so that's why I didn't know.

Personally though I think they are his clothes, although it doesn't really matter. I used to have this discussion with my sister quite a lot. Adam_149 - good point, I'd never actually made the connection before but that definitely makes sense

Does noticing Link wearing pyjamas make any difference?
I mean, it's just clothes right?

Doesn't Medli say "Wow, you really are wearing crayfish pajamas"?
Anyway, pajamas or not, they're nice and I liked the second quest. TP should have let you wear Link's starting outfit for the second quest.

TP link in the hero's new clothes, so he's wearing his normal link clothes, you just can't see them, because TP Link is not honest enough

Well wasn't he sleeping in the beggining of the game or am I getting confused? Also he was wearing the hero's clothes in the second quest, he just couldn't see them because he wasn't honest.

But I guess she is really Zelda, who probably is an honest person. EDIT: Perhaps Link can see them but you, the player, can not. Now if Link didn't realise only he can see them, and took off all his other clothes it could be somewhat amusing...

I think she says something about him wearing an outfit with a crayfish on it. I can't remember exactly.

Also, Link cannot see them, even his Grandma refers to this "what's wrong Link, can't you see them?". The player also doesn't see them...UNTIL he beats the game, in the final ending sequences after you leave Hyrule and beat the game, Link is wearing his clothing ![]()
