How old is Link in Wind Waker?

Does anyone know how old Link is supposed to be in The Wind Waker? I know he is supposed to be like a kid, but is there a certain age he is supposed to be?

This is just something I have been wondering.

If there is no answer then tell me how old you in vision him being.

He is the same age as Young Link in OoT, which is 10 since he is seventeen when he's an adult, and Raul says seven years pass since he pulled the Master Sword. I would say it's safe to say he's ten.

It says so in the beginning of the game. His grandmother gives him the hero's clothes because he reached the hero's age (12).

I always thought TWW Link was 10. Brawl isn't really canon in these kinds of details, so I stand by this guess. :/

He's either 10 or 12.

10 makes more sense to me, as TWW Link and OoT Young Link both look about 10 and I believe some old sources said OoT Young Link was ten, but Brawl says TWW Link is 12, although there's a lot of wrong information in Brawl.

My guess would be between 10 and 13, but yeah Brawl isn't really a good reference. Even though they made a Luigi's Mansion stage, the guy in charge of making Brawl didn't seem to even know what game that was from.

The game never says his age or the Hero's Age.

I think you need to play the game again.

I don't believe there is a single game in the series that says Link's age. I think the TP manual says Link is 17, and that's the only time I believe Nintendo has ever said Link's age in any of the games or their manuals.

True, but I believe an old interview or something said OoT Young Link is 10 (Which makes OoT Adult Link 17), and since in Wind Waker, the boys of Outset Island got the clothes when they reached the Hero of Time's age, it'd make sense if he was 10 as well, wouldn't it?

Yeah, so, TWW Link AND OoT Young Link are either 10 or 12.

I personally prefer 10, as OoT Young Link looks far younger then 12 (and even 10 for that matter) and OoT Adult Link looks 17, not 19.

I don't think it ever says in the game, I always said he was 10 and his sister was 7. Except I read somewhere that OoT Young Link is 7 and he's fourteen as an 'adult,' so maybe that's the same in WW.

young link is 10, adult link is 17, and WW says that on outset island kids of the hero of time's age where clothes similar to the hero of time's, which means WW link is 10

^ Have you read the instruction booklet of the Ocarina of Time? It clearly states in one of the last pages that Link is aged seven years when his quest begins which makes him 14 years old when he becomes older (seven years apart).

There is the proof if people actually read. It even states it in the special edition of the Ocarina of Time game that was released for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Back to the topic, I think Wind Waker Link is aged between 8 to 12 years of age. It all comes down to how we see him and how we want him to be the hero that we individually see in him.

Now that you have mentioned it, maybe he started having those 'Ganondorf encountered' dreams with Shiek and Zelda on the horse running away when he was aged seven and didn't meet Navi and start the adventure until he was ten years old.
