Ocarina of Time to Wind Waker story

this is gonna sound weird, but the story of WW and OOT really bugs me. i cant get the story straight on either of them, and i cant stand it. I owned both games, and not untill recently did i realize that the start of WW was the story of OOT in short. Is anyone with me on this? Or do i just sound weird?

Well if you're having difficulty understanding the back story or something, that's something completely different than understanding what's going on.

For example, if you don't get what's going on in OoT, then here

BUT, if you don't understand the back story, that's where theories come in handy and it's still kinda all over the place.

You should know that i dont even have the zora's saphire yet in OOT, but i have completed WW. in my opinon, WW is the best game of any kind ever created. im workin' my way through OOT... anyway, i understand the back story of wind waker, i just dont get the very start of WW, the proluge, how is it connected to OOT? and whats with the "Hero did not appear" business? ITS KILLING ME HERE!

I'd really love to explain it, but you need to know the end of OoT in order to really get into discussion about it. Lemme know if you don't want to hear spoilers and I'll get started...

Okay well Wind Waker takes place after Ocarina of Time. Usually, or at least in some cases, at the end of Zelda games, the same Link comes back in the next one. For some reason (aka a spoiler) the Link in WW is not the same Link as the one in OoT. And for some reason (another spoiler) is why you don't understand the prologue.

If you want to get the explination, lemme know. If not, then get playin through OoT!

Technically speaking, yes.

You're not wasting my time, it's always fun talking about this stuff and helping someone else understand. ^_^ So I don't mind. But again, here's what I think I'm going to do. I'll lock this thread, so people who only read the first post don't just blurt out spoilers. If you want it re-opened, or have any questions, you can PM me, how's that sound?

The very start of the prologue covers breifly the story of OoT(which doesn't help if you haven't yet finished it), and then expands on what happened years after, when Ganon re-emerges, and attempts to once again take over Hyrule. This is the point where eveyone in Hyrule was once again expecting a great hero to appear, and save the land from evil. As no hero appeared, the Goddesses had little choice but to flood the entire land, and seal the evil beneath the waves.

Years later, we have The Wind Waker.
