The Wind Waker Intro

I was wondering what everybody thought about the intro music to Wind Waker. Did it set the mood for the legend? Did you like the music or could it been better?

I found it to be very good. I loved the old-style art, and I really enjoy the music too. I personally think its one of the best intros.

I wasn't really into the music but I liked the whole catch up which sort of bridges OOT to WW.

It seemed a little fairytale like but the whole game makes up for that.

Not only was the music great, but the intro was great too. Probably the best Zelda intro there is.

Actually, I loved the music in the whole WW game. I think TWW has my favorite Zelda score.

I personally loved it. Everything about it was very nicely done and I'd agree that it's easily one of the best intros to a Zelda game so far.

I really liked the whole intro. when the game starts, sometimes I just linger on the intro to hear the music. In some Zeldas, the music that plays before the actual game starts is just that good.

It has to be my favorite Zelda intro. It was fantastic in every way. The music, the art, the story...they all went together beautifully.

I agree with the others, it's definitely the best intro in the series.

It's very "legend" ish, it's a very clever idea, the music is wonderful, and it really sets the mood for the whole game.

A lot of the other Zelda games have kind of awkward intros (I'm looking at you, OoT) but TWW's is wonderful.

I agree, TWW has the best Zelda soundtrack. Every song is wonderful.

I think the music intro is brilliant. It was perfect in setting the mood for the retelling of the legend and aswell for getting you prepared for the great adventure ahead.
This was not the only good piece in WW though, the game certainly comes with many other great pieces of music.

Yeah, next to Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker has one of the best openings. It's dramatic, but in a very different way than LA or MM. It really sets up the feeling that you'll be exploring a realy legend.

Agreed. It had a baroque style which is a pretty cool style with the harpsichord piano, and a eerie feel from the flute. I think it made it fit well with the mood in the story.
I think it is one of the best intros.

I really liked TWW's intro too, though not so much the rest of the game. And as long as it's been since I last played TWW, I still remember that nice little tune...

*hums*

Best music? No. But close.
The best music is either Gerudo Valley or TWW staff roll.

I pretty much agree with MidnightSun and NintendoTogepi on this one.

I think it's be best intro music in the series. Much like I think that WW's soundtrack is by far the best. Kondo-san did an exellent job.

I think the WW intro is my favorite. I love the primitive drawing style. and the music is great! I have really grown to love WW. I used to think it was one of the worst, not I think it's great. the intro, to me, is perfect! it really got me excited to play. even now, when I start up a new game, I read every word and enjoy the intro a lot.
