Gorons/Zora in WW?

Alright so, Hyrule is flooded in WW obviously, and it takes place after OoT obviously so what I don't get is, if it's flooded, you'd think Zoras woul flourish in the way things changed right? Yet there are no zoras in the game, I have a theory that they evolved into ritos but that's a different story. But for some strange reason, there are Gorons still alive, yet Gorons can't swim at all...so Gorons are alive, and Zoras are extinct/ritos. It doesn't make sense, water is the Zora's natural habitat but they're gone. And Gorons are the exact opposite of Zoras, yet they're alive. Explain please because I'm simply bewildered and confused.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

As you said they probably evolved into Zoras. The Gorons survived but now they are in much smaller numbers.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

yeah, i noticed that as well, strange that they would dissapear(or evolve into ritos) now that they had an ocean to live in......
and abou the gorons.... well, in majoras mask they would drown, but in t.p. they could actually be under water without breathing.. so.... i dont know... 0_0

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

yah, this threads popped up countless times now...

The Zoras probably evolved into Ritos for some reason, and Gorons moved away to somewhere

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

Hmm thats interesting. Well maybe the Gorons swam as much as they could before they drowned or maybe they were on top of one of the islands when the water came. Question: How did the water get there to flood Hyrule? I forget

Maybe the Gorons were on a mountaintop. *hint*DeathMountain*hint* And the Zora's were used to fresh water. Freshwater fish don't survive in salt water. Ocean=saltwater.

When you turned into a Zora in MM you could swim in the ocean near Great bay.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

Maybe Zoras in Termina are freshwater oriented? They do live near the cean, and swim in the ocean. Zoras in OoT live near/in a river and a lake.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

Well Saltwater can be considered freshwater argueably. And maybe because the gods flooded Hyrule, the water they used is fresh water. If I were a god I wouldn't use tainted water to flood the amazing land of Hyrule.

Well, if it was freshwater, then maybe the Goddesses didn't want the Zoras to find Hyrule.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

It's pretty much supported as canon that the zoras evolved into ritos, for whatever reason. The gorons are probably dying out.

Wow I must be stupid, or I just don't remember, but where were the gorons in TWW? I don't remember...

Well Zora's domain in Termina was off the coast of Great Bay, thus was in an ocean. They were able to swim in ocean water obviously. You were Mikao(not sure if that;s right name or not) and was able to swim in it.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

I also think the Zora's evolved... although it would have been really cool if the Zora's were in Wind Waker. It would make a lot more sense, plus it would have been cool to have even more characters across the great sea plus some sort of Zora's Domain.

Re: Gorons/Zora in WW?

Maybe Nintendo was lazy.
We all know Wind Waker could of been a much better game if Nintendo actually tried instead of wasting so much time deciding weather or not a cartoon like Link would be hip or not.

I also highly doubt water swimming Zora's evolved into bird flying chickens within a 100 years.

There are traveling merchants, only ones I can think of right now are 2, 1 on Bomb Island, and 1 on Big Fish Isle or whatever. They're gorons.

Why not? I mean, where's kokiri's? We have koroks, those are probably kokiri's now. I know 100 years is short but it's a game and they're not chickens, plus they have trouble flying until they're older, real birds take like a couple of days. Not to mention the Zora Sage. (I beleive) There's a bunch of reasons Zoras could now be Ritos.
