Twilight Princess' Golden Wolf?

Just who is this Golden Wolf that teaches Link the new skills in TW...?

I think he is the original hero of hyrule, a.k.a. the hero of time. He is the one who knows the ways of fighting evil, why not teach it to the new hero? all for the sake of hyrule.

Hes the old hero,because once you have all the hidden moves,he tells you.

^Yeah what they said!He also knows the songs from MM and OoT, this makes it likley that he is OoT Link.

I agree with what these two said. Once you learn the last secret technique, he tells you something to the extent of "Make me proud... my son!" (I forget the exact phrase, but it's close enough I guess)

While I doubt he's Link's dad (maybe grandad), he's definately part of Link's lineage. I've never really thought about which Link he is though... OoT actually seems a rather good estimate, since the game already has tons of refrences from that.

Hmmm... I never thought about it. I suppose maybe he was a knight that thought he could destroy Ganondorf, but he didn't have the triforce and he failed. So, they gave him the power to help Link fulfill his destiny.

yeah i think he is the hero of time, knows songs from ocarina, AND majoras mask, and as we all know, the hero of time was the only link to travel to Termina, so i think its most likely him...
about turning into a golden wolf....mmmmmm... maybe in a future game(following majoras mask) the hero of time comes back, and some how gets turned into a wolf..???

There is so much evidence pointing to the fact that he is the hero of time, the Link from OOT.
1 He said, "At last, the skills I have to teach you have entered the realm of true secrecy. They are forgotten ways that do not leave our bloodline."
2 He is left-handed
3 The triforce of courage turned link into a wolf, his beast form. The Hero shade has the same wolf form, because he too once held the ToC.
4 He knows the old songs that only the hero of time would know.
5 He speaks of being an old hero, most likely the "Hero of Time."

yeah but i don't want that to be the end for the hero of time.....His story is open for more games...and TP wasnt nearly as good as Oot. I want the hero of time back.

so basically a sequel from Majora's Mask. Because the Hero of Time timeline starts off in OoT, then goes to MM(same link), so basically a sequel to MM in order to have the "Hero Of Time" back in another game.

I wouldn't mind that, that would be cool actually, starts off in Hyrule for OoT, then Termina for MM, then maybe a new town on a new land...taht would be neat

yeah... lol , but what we'd have would be a 2-3 disk game... not that I mind, I'd actually like to see a veryy long Zelda game (not in the "cartoon" version though")

I honestly dont don't care, as long as it has the Ocarina of time in it and hasthe hero of time in it. Mostly because His games are the most epic zeldas.

That is REALLY smart! I could never have figured it out for myself.
But that leaves this new question:
The Hero Shade says that he accepted the role of the Chosen Hero, but he failed to carry out his duties: He was a perfect hero in both of his games, so what did he do that marked him as a fallen hero?

Seeing as how there's two threads on this ( one in Theorizing ) and I feel it fits better there, the discussion can continue there.
