The Hawk

Was there any use to this hawk after you got the cradle and knocked down the bee hive?

I have yet to actually need the hawk, or ran into a spot where I could even get access to him other then in ordon?

So was there any other uses to him?

Yeah there isnt much use for it really. But remember it does help you in hyrule castle... kind of.

When it bombed those monsters... or was that Auru.

There are some places to call the hawk, at lake hylia, and the road to death mountain in the sacred woods. But they don't really have a purpose. I was kinda dissapointed, I mean the Hawk idea was awesome, why didn't they make it more usefull/needed?

Yea one of the things that kinda stood out in the trailers was Link and the Hawk. was really dissapointed when the Hawk didn't serve much of a purpose

Although he does appologise to you for being used against you. Saying something that he has to do what the summoner says.

Along the lines of hawks/birds..

You know just before the Forest Temple that bird that sells the potions...Is there a way after stealing some potions to pay him back so he will stop hurting you??

If you summon him as a wolf, he'll tip you off to secrets, too...but he isn't really useful, yeah.

Yeah, run up and pay him real quick.

The hawk on Death Mountain can be used to kill the Bulbin Archers when you first get there, but it's way easier to just run past 'em all.

the hawk can show you hidden secret items when summoned by wolf link

when summoned by human link, it's pretty much only good for knocking down far-off enemies/beehives if you want to save arrows/pellets

No you have to leave the screen.

However, if you buy something and only pay 1 rupee, he won't attack you. He will yell at you, but he won't attack.

I wished that you could control the bird for a side quest amongst the height of the trees or something.

I like birds. Why wasn't the hawk involved much?

Yeah, I thought the hawk was going to have a bigger purpose.

According to earlier interviews, all animals in general were going to have a larger role than they did in the end.

If you sorta think about it, controlling the seaguls in tWW didn't hold that much of a purpose either. Sure hawks are seen as cooler animals than seaguls, but if you have to complain about one game, why not the other?

The only usefull thing I could see the hawk for is to have a bird's point of view of the horizon to see what's coming up ahead (like in tWW). That, or help in attacking enemies while you're riding on your horse (sorta like what a captured bee does in ALttP).

Maybe in some future game a talking hawk could be Link's companion.

Off Topic: I like seaguls. Not only can they walk on land, fly, and swim, there's a few that can dive under water for a few seconds to grab a few fish. They have the advantage in all terrain^_^
