Something that I think is really unfair

It's that if TWW would have had realistic graphics, it would be so much more praised and widely loved. People all over the internet seem to hate the game only because of the graphics.

It's just annoying to me...

I think at least disliking the game for its graphical style is understandable. Some people just might not like the way the game was presented - and thats fine. Hating the game for its graphics is silly and strange from my opinion...

I really dont think that The Wind Waker would have suited a realistic style.

I agree with you on this one. Wind Waker was set up to be more cartoony and comical--so the graphics had to reflect that.

I've never played WW (but I plan to...someday xD) but I remember seeing Link being fired into a wall.

The "graphics"" in TWW weren't bad at all. Nintendo actually chose to present the game using tune shading images. The method they chose may be questioned, but the actual "graphics" it produced were ok.
Anyway, the game was still memorable. I liked the gameplay and storyline and I'll take those over "graphics" any day.

I think the sudden change of graphics from the famous realistic version of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask to a weird looking Link put a lot of people off who were currently fans. I too was thrown off heaps and I said to myself that if this continues, then I'm going to stop liking the franchise.

But as everyone does, we all judge games by their looks than the actual game play. Though, I still very much liked the storyline and everything. If only the graphics were something different, then yeah I would like it more.

It all comes down to people's taste. I still liked young Link when he was a realistic boy in Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask better than the Wind Waker style anytime.

When i first saw the new graphic style i was shocked and i thought that i wouldn't buy the game. I ended up buying a cube just for TWW. It's my second favourite Zelda game of all time, second only to OOT. I think it was much better than TP in almost every way. There are so many sidequests and things to do. I actually enjoyed the sailing unlike most people.

I dont get why so many people complain about the graphics i love it. In fact i wouldn't mind at all if the next Zelda game was cel-shaded. When i got the game i never really knew other people's opinion about the graphics of the game and when i found out some people hate the game because of the graphics i was surprised. I really love the game and i've replayed WW so many times i don't know exactly how many times i have played it.

Yeah there are really a lot of side quests something the game definately isn't lacking. A lot of people complain that games like PH and TP don't have enough side quests and they dont apreciate the amount of side quests in WW.

The WW graphics are EXCELLENT, it might be the best looking cel-shaded game, if it had realistic graphics it would be weird, the same for TP having cartoony graphics.

Wind Waker is one of the graphically best performing games on the gamecube, it shows the emotion very good. The graphics are also very, very beautiful, so no disliking here

As others have said the 'weird' graphics were the perfect compliment to the general feel of the game. It would've been weird with TP graphics just as TP would be weird with WW graphics

Hmm, true. Although as long as the graphics dont comprimise at least good gameplay, hate would probably still be too far.

I can agree. They could have made it TP graphics and honestly it would make it more popular and stuff. Course, games are all about game play and story, graphics might not have a thing to do with it. But I get into games more when the graphics are as equally cool to the story. Thats why I love TP so much.

I like the game, and I actually almost passed it up a few years back because of its graphics, but once I played it, I felt quite foolish. Regardless of the looks, its a wonderful game, and the toon-shading is excusable for such good gameplay.

It's possible that realistic graphics might make the game better, but when I see scenes like this I wouldn't want Wind Waker any way else.

I sometimes dislike a game for bad grafics, but never for odd grafics. If you look past WWs garfics you still have a great game.

I think the graphics were definatly well put. I think Nintendo was just trying to take a spin on what the GameCube could handle in terms of graphics. The cel-Shading was pretty cool, and it really brought out the Scenery and Facial expressions ETC. The only thing really cartoon-ish, I think, was that when you defeated someone, They would burst into a fake cloudy black and purple mist. It kinda looked cheep XD. Never-the-less, a great game.

BTW, I love the graphics and am so glad they decided on the cel shading.
