wii TP remote-swinging

When I first played TP on my brother's Wii (I have one now) I thought it was fun to act as if you were actually in combat and swing the Wiimote to slash at an enemy. The point is, once I got to the 'return magic balls' concept while fighting Ganonzelda, I made an exception. Would you rather swing your Wiimote in combat or stick with the GCN version and press the boring B button?

Swing that remote man! I would prefer to swing the Wii remote than the buttons. Just feels like you're actually doing something helpful in the game, like you're actually there.

The button pressing was getting a little old in my opinion.

Go moition sensitivity! I love the Wii controls. They are much more intuitive than tWW's ones. I compare them to tWW as I have not played the GCN version of TP

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

I loved the moving the wii remote, especially because you could do a combo like this:
Slash, slash, spin without doing loads of work. But the returning magic balls was really hard.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

If the Wiimote swinging followed your movements, or at least something a bit like the movements you did, I would prefer the Wii mote swinging, moving the Wiimote in TP was useless...

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

I like what Khao said. I you swung like a retard and Link followed you, I would definably love the Wii-Remote.
As long as you don't have to swing like a retard.

Either way, Wii-Mote swinging is FTW.

I prefer swinging the Wii-mote, but pressing the button is all right since I'm lazy.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

Actually, I made the Ending Blow pose with my Wiimote when stabbed Ganondorf in the gut. And I made some other motions of those Hidden Skills like... um... well, there is the Nunchuk Shield Attack. I tried doing that to zap Ganonzelda with the magic balls, but the ball just wouldn't go to her.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

I think I definately prefer swinging the Wiimote than pressing a button. I love gimmicky things like this, and it also kind of pulls me into the game even more than pressing buttons would. It's just so fun to actually go through the motions the characters go through.

I'm pretty good with timing my attacks and such, though during the Ganon-possessed Zelda battle, sometimes my sword would swing twice, and I wouldn't be able to get off a third swing before that glowing mass of pain hits me. It's getting better though.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

I love the wiimote swing! it's boring just pressing a button to attack. Swinging a wiimote to swing a sword makes the game feal more real.

Swinging the Wiimote man! Feels so much better than just ending all evil of hyrule with a push of a button. It's good for testing your reactions too. If you're too slow then this version isn't for you.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

I think that there should be an option if you want to press buttons or swing it or whatever.

Some elderly people might actually like Zelda, but they might be suffering from arthritis.

And some people have a disability when it comes to moving their limbs too much (arms and hands) so really there should be a choice.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

Now, call me crazy, but I would actually have a hard time choosing between Wiimote and the buttons (I have TP for both GCN and Wii, and well you know...).

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

Pressing the B button. The Wii Remote is way too sensitive, I always end up swinging the Wii Remote be accident. Then I end up getting hit by the electric ball because I 'swang' to early.

But still... You have to admit that pressing the buttons are getting a bit old. But yeah, I see what you mean.

Re: wii TP remote-swinging

Yeah. You are SO right. I've been playing thru the game without a shield now (I did buy the metal shield but didn't wanna equip it) and overall it's devastatingly easy. Each day, I play through one dungeon and usually have to do homework at the start of the next dungeon...
