TP is confusing

I dont understand the meaning of the Lanayru scene in TP where you see the dark links and Illia has a knife?
Can someone explain?

Basically the Dark Link's are representing the Twili and their powers. The Ilia's were supposed to be like a horror scene or something, maybe possibly saying that as long as people's greed for power lives, that people will will kill each other constantly for it.

anyway, as strange as it is, that scene is one of my favorites in the game!It is so unexpected!

I actually usually skip the scene due to its freaky nature. I've seen it twice, the rest of the time I just skip it.

I believe its something that lust of people in trying to find triforce was so big that they actually turned against everybody, killing even their friends and families, just to get to the triforce.

i agree to that, the hunt for the "golden" power/triforce must have been this much that they wanted to kill familie and friends, that's how i think...

I think thats the part where Link was suffering from lack of sleep

but, as others said, it was more of a foreshadowing "dreamlike" sequence to show how the twilight has effected and will later effect Hyrule.

What you said is true, the cutscene is showing how people would kill each other to gain the triforce. The Darklinks represent the Twilight people who tried to take the Triforce, but then the goddesses kinda killed them.

And has anyone noticed that Lanayru has the name of the goddess of wisdom, Nayru, in his name? Is this just a coincidence or did they put the goddesses names in 3 light spirits?

Yea but it was creepy. Very creepy. The first time I watched it I got kinda scared.

Along the lines of dark Link representis the Twili trying to take the triforce. Its based on greed. The Ilia and the knife was random.. (and scared the hell out of me).

Ilia wasnt random, she was representing how friends and loved ones were turned against each other by the lust of finding triforce, for all cost
