A question about a scene early in TP

*spoilers I guess*

When you go to Twilight Hyrule Castle and meet Zelda for the first time, after you leave her room, Midna says there's a guardian coming. I immediately ran down to the window and jumped out, but did anyone run down the stairs and try and see the guardian? If so, what does it look like and what happens?

I haven't played for awhile, but I remember minda stopping you and saying "we have to run"... you don't ever see who it is tho.(I think)

I'm pretty sure it automatically triggers a cutscene where you jump out, you don't do it by yourself.

Hehe, this reminds me of a funny thing. When I was in that castle room, it looked like you could go behind the fireplace and into a secret tunnel. So when the guard was coming I threw myself into the fire a couple of times trying to get through

Oh, and I think nothing happens. You just jump out and that's it. the guardian never comes. I spent like a minute trying to get through the fire.

EDIT: here's a video Jump to the part when he gets into Zelda room. On the right, there's a fire place, but the map also shows an opening. Maybe something they thought of using, but then scrapped and forgot to change the map?

I was recently playing TP and when I got to that part I went out straight away, thinking that I would get caught or something. Im sure no one comes and if you try going further down the staircase Midna probably wont let you and turn you round.

Zelda tells you the guard will come soon, and the only thing you can do is go back down the stairs, but once you start, it triggers a cutscene, so there's no possibility of seeing the guard. Whatever it was, couldn't Link have slaughtered it?

Hmmm very interesting. I'll have to try it. Never thought of getting caught

You can't. Since the cutscene starts before you can get down completely, and there is no way to pass that corridor.

You can do a spin attack and destroy the fireplace... (well, just the logs) and there are ten rupees behind. Nothing more.

I have never stayed but I am almost certain that you wouldn't get caught.

yeah i am pretty sure it triggers a cutscene once you start going away

Using any method possible most likely you'll just come to a shut door. I know when you get to zelda the second time, this is all that's down there.
