Busted up Ganon in TWW!

I know that most of you all have already busted Ganon up but...Anyway, I picked up the remote for the 1st time in 6months and I go and bust up Ganon. I thought I'd be a lil rusty but it all worked out for me. Alight arrow and a stab to the head later and we get to my point.

Did anyone else think that the ending was a bit dull? OoT was much, much better. I was a bit dissapointed.

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

Well, WW would be my 2nd favorite zelda, (1st is TP). But I actually was intrigued by the ending with Link setting sail and going on another adventure. So there was room for a sequal.

OoT's was really emotional. Especially because it was almost ten years ago when everyone beat it so there were memories.

I haven't touched OoT for 3 years, but I wanna beat it again. We'll see

I was also dissapointed at the ending of TP, but it was still very good.
My favorite zelda-game ending was.... OCARINA OF TIME!!! I love that game! So many memories...

Yeah, the ending of TWW bored me a bit. It could've been better, no doubt about it, but you have to remember the game was a bit on the 'rushed' side. It was a good game nonetheless, and still one of my favorites.

Lightbulb hmmmmm...

Well, my only complaint about the ending is the final battle itself. It's cool that Zelda's actually fighting with you, but why is it just a basic swordfight? Whatever happened to Ganon's Magic?

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

Hmm... I haven't played Wind Waker in probably two years, give or take. But the ending was fairly dull. I think most people were waiting for a Zelda with an ending that would surpass Ocarina of Time. . . And without seeming subjective, I think the reason why Ocarina of Time had the magic that Wind Waker didn't, was because as someone said above myself; it has a nostalgic element to it. But also, it will always be remembered as the first true 3-D Zelda game in its franchise history, as well as the first Zelda to incorporate an immersing storyline that really drew on the players' emotions, unlike in previous installments. But in all honesty? I'd say that Wind Waker ranks in 5th place, right behind A Link to the Past.

this is tww, there is no zant
and the reason he gave power to zant is to strengten up in the twiligt world (I think), as you see in TPs endfight, he had power

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

Are you people in this thread insane?

The Wind Waker has one of the best endings in any game I've ever seen, and by far the best in any Zelda game everything right before the boss battle, during the boss battle and after the boss battle was GOLD.

I think OoT has a pretty blah ending IMO.

My ranking of the endings is TWW's ending >>>>>>>>>>> TP's ending >>>>> OoT's Ending >>>>>> PH's ending

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

mehage. i grew up in the age where A Link to the Past was fresh on the shelves. hearing that ending theme makes me feel so nostalgic! although, i gotta say, i still prefer Ocarina of Time. the windwaker was good too, but it didn't hit no.1 for me. here's my top three endings:

OoT
aLttP
tWW

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

I think I prefer TWW's ending quite a bit over OOT's ending. I thought it really had a sad theme to it, and the music really helped the mood. So I have no complaints about the ending, just that the bubbles in the credits are rather repetitive.

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

That ending was so dull. I wish they would of worked harder at it.

What they should of done was shown the different islands, and maybe some of the dungeons during the credits.

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

Honestly WW credits were an embarassment to Zelda. OOT and MM wraped all the various stories up.WWs is a bunch of heads in bubbles with a little cutscene at the end. Fortunatly the rectified it with TPs credits.

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

Everything after the King drowns is a little on the average side, but the build up is second to none. The setting for the fight with Ganondorf is just fantastic. Ganondorf as a character (In spite of the all-caps and increasing of the font size, his speech by Zelda's bedside leaves me awestruck every time.) and the King's sacrifice really make the ending. You're all talking about the credit sequence, right? (Or the Epilogue bit. It's open ended, but I think it works with the message they were trying to convey.)

Re: Busted up Ganon in TWW!

It was a cool finish. It's just afterwards when all you see are dumb bubbles for the credits.

I agree. i thought Wind Waker had an awesome ending but the credits themselves sucked. I really liked the idea that your floating up from the bottom of the Ocean, as at the end you can see the surface of the water, but they could have used that idea in a different way instead of heads in a bubble. maybe like for most of it show all of the islands, then finally get to tower of the gods, then get to hyrule, and show under water, then link and zelda swimming up.
