Ocarina of Time Wii Edition

Ok, I have this question that is really bugging me. I am going to get the Wii very soon. The first game that I am going to get right away is Ocarina of Time on the Virtual Console. I haven't played the game yet and I am SO EXCITED! The question I have is, do any of you know how the controls for the game works? Do you use the Wiimote? Do you use any other controller, like the N64? Please respond back to me!

Re: Ocarina of Time Wii Edition

N64 virtual console games don't use the Wiimote. Only the Classic controller and the Gamecube controller. The controls themselves are pretty straightforward. You'll learn most of them in an hour or less.

No no. That's not what I wrote. I wrote that only the Classic controller (click link to see image of the Wii Classic Controller) and the Gamecube controller would work with the VC version of Ocarina of Time.

I can see why that might have been confusing for you though ;P. My apologies for the misconception.

I reccomend the gamecube controller. The controls work better on it.

Re: Ocarina of Time Wii Edition

personally I probably would have gotten OoT on the wii, but I still have my N64 laying around so I just play it on there, plus i got the bonus disk w/ the master quest so I got it on there as well, having a third copy of the game on my wii would just be a waste lol. But it is a fun game though I must say.

Just so you dont get confused... it is on the wii virtual console and cost 1000 wii points. you can use either the classic controller or the gamecube controller.

Ocarina of time IS great, but one question: I'm getting Wii for Christmas, and I was just wondering. How do you get Wii points?

Re: Ocarina of Time Wii Edition

Wow, still haven't played OoT after it nearly being out for ten years.
OoT is timeless though, it's a game you can play again, and again.

Best. Game. Ever.

I'm gonna get Ocarina of Time on my Wii here pretty soon as well. I'm getting the Wii Classic controller though. It's pretty exciting, i must say.

Re: Ocarina of Time Wii Edition

Wait. How is it exciting playing Ocarina of Time for the Wii? It's the same exact game as the Nintendo 64 version, except with a new controller. Is there something I'm missing?
