Am I the only one?

Who didn't like WW. I think the graphics were too cartoonish to be a Zelda game. It was an Okay game at first, but then after you get the MS is seems like, i don't know, the Zelda aspect left. All the suspence, all the magic, really all the fun just left for me. The sailing was boring, the sidequests sucked, but on the + side of things, the bosses were fun to fight (exept the 2nd [plant one] and puppet gannon) and the WW was a fun instument to play. really over all I disliked WW.

You aren't the only one, but I certainly don't agree. I think people that ***** about the graphics need to get over themselves; they fit the game well and I really don't think about them that much. I also felt it had more of a Zelda feel to it than TP. That was supposed to be like the quintessential Zelda game with it's "mature" tone and graphics, but I thought it lacked both. Even though WW was fairly easy, the dungeons were well done and the story line had purpose and made sense.

Re: Am I the only one?

I think the graphics suited the WW,and also it would be pretty boring if Zelda games always had the same feel.I agree about the sailing though-it did become boring after a while.

EDIT:flpmagikat said what I wanted to say.

I'm not b*tching about the graphics, I just didn't like them as much as the 3-D style, yes TP was a little overratted, but If TP had been a little less rushed, it would've zipped past WW by at least 30 miles.

Wind Waker, the cartoonish Zelda, with the boat, and sailing for gamecube.

Re: Am I the only one?

I really Liked TWW, and how cartoonish graphics don't fit Zelda if there has been only 3 Zelda games with realistic graphics? OoT MM and TP, the only ones, thoug maybe AoL could count, if TWW was realistic it would be weird, the cel-shaded engine fits the game PERFECTLY DID YOU HEAR ME TWW IS PERFECT

I thought TP was fantastic, and zipped past WW by at least 30 light years.

Most of the zelda games were, if not realistic, as close as was possible in the day they came out. The Wind Waker was the first to deviate from this tradition in a (pathetic) attempt to make it appeal more to the younger generation. i thought WW was an OK game, by itself, but the graphics were abysmal, the storyline was weak, in comparison with the others, and the sailing was soooo annoying. I also disliked the fact that, for the first time (as far as I can remember) Link actually spoke to the Gods (Zephos and Cyclos), which, in my opinion, was wrong, as it again deviates from standard Zelda procedure, that the Gods do not actually reveal themselves.

You are of course entitled to disagree, but I think the Wind Waker was the worst Zelda game Nintendo ever made.

Re: Am I the only one?

I thought the gafic were good. I have never seen draw distances this good. Seriosly, you can see tower of the gods all the way from Windfall! Also, the only cel shaded I have seen that compares grafically is Jet Set Radio Future. To be fair though, JSRF is for the Xbox (which has supirior grafics to the GC) so if JSRF was for GC, I'm sure WW would be better.
