Midna's Twilight Monster Form: Unexpected or Expected?

For some strange reason, when I first saw Midna use the Fused Shadows, I never expected it to turn her into an spider-like form with hands for legs.

I understand why Nintendo did that since one of the major physical qualities of Midna is her hair that resembles and can somehow turn into a hand.

What do you guys think?

Didn't really know what but I knew she'd transform into some srange form, guess I was expecting something alittle different though, Like how the OoT witch twins transform from old hags to a beautiful Gerudo goddess-like form.

I figured she would turn into something with multiple arms and hands, but not a spider exactly. Maybe a four armed giant like that guy in Mortal Kombat. I think the spider is fine, though, and the quadradent was a nice touch.

For me, the transformation was unexpected.

I had imagined her becoming a giant, but remain an Impish thing like she was. In stead she changed into a shiney many armed thing. I don't think anyone had expected that much.

I didn't really think she would turn into anything, but wasn't a whole lot surprised she did though.

Whiel the spider wasn't expected, you knew she was going to transform anyway so whatever the form took it was hardly supprising.

Unexpected, I thought I was going to have to fight her...

For some reason I thought she was going to use the Fused Shadows as a giant canon or bazooka or something, it was just the way it looked...

The transformation was definately unexpected lol

I had anticipated everything.

I expected her to use the fused shadows as something to aid her, or something to help Link. I didn't exactly expect that form, but it wasn't a complete surprise.

I didn't expect her to come out like that, but I knew Fused Shadow would give her a wierd looking form, I read it on a review.

I never expected it, point blank. I mean, I knew something was up when she grabed the Fused Shadows, but I never expected anything like what she turned into. Of course, I'm not one for reading reviews, watching trailers, or any of that good stuff y'all are into.

Though I didn't have a specific idea, I knew right off the bat that the Fused Shadows would turn her into some kind of gigantic, powerful monster.

well i knew she was gonna change form, but i didnt expect a gaint four legged monster thing..with a spear..

That really was unexpected. I never really thought about what she would do with them though.

What I don't get is, what was the point of collecting them in the first place. You were supposed to need them to defeat Zant, but he took them. I know you need them to get past the barrier at Hyrule Castle, but when you were first collecting them, the barrier was non-existent. That was the confusing part of the story.
