Does the Wii version contain any extras?

and if so, what are they. Also what do you prefer, the Wii version or the Gamecube version?

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

Nothing different but the Wii controls and widescreen compatibility.

I have yet to even touch the Wii, but the GC controls well satisfy me enough

Wow... someone's over reacting .

Maybe some people are simply more fond of the GC controls than the Wii. Others maybe just don't wanna look like idiots swinging/flicking the wiimote like a sword .

I originally didn't make a vote, but after your lil post... I'm gonna spite you and add a vote to the GC version

They're called purists

Wii version all the way. The controls are excellent, and playing in widescreen makes a big difference

What makes the map better? It's just reversed . It's the exact same otherwise...
Plus the GC map is more canonical because it better relates to OOT's map, despite it being retconned.

I'd probably still like the GC version more anyway. I get Camera Control!

Yes, I do miss camera control and I absolutely hate the stupid fairy cursor because it really annoying to see when you are looking around in first person. That said, the camera control in TP GC isn't nearly good as the one in Wind Waker.

Overall, I perfer the Wii version just because it makes the combat, fishing, and aiming more fun.

I'd agree fishing and aiming are more dominant in the Wii version.

Many would disregard the camera control (as it's not as good as WW's), but I've stated many times already that I have a huge knack for perspective. I easily love to play around with the camera in WW and TP and get a good view of the landscape while keeping Link in view. Makes it look almost dramatic even when you keep the camera in place in the front corner when you're sailing or riding your horse.

That's just me though. My thumb is almost always on that C-stick . Mind you though this helps me do better in FPS games as well

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

I voted Gamecube. I liked the maps better on this version and the controls because this is how the game was originally intended to be played. If you'll remember, TP was in development long before the Wii even had a name. Call me sentimental, but I prefer to play the ORIGINAL VERSION of the game.

Not saying the Wii version is bad, I have played it and like it, but nothing beats the first time you play through a game, and I just prefered the GC version.

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

I've never played the GC version, but I do prefer the Wii contols of TP over any other standard-controller controlled game.

So I'd probably prefer the gameplay of Wii TP more than the GC TP, so my vote goes to Wii TP.

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

I have and have beaten the Wii version, and I have to say, I loved the widescreen. The only problem I have, is why did they have to flip the map? Couldn't it have worked just fine by changing Link himself instead of the entire game? It really bugs me. >.< Other'n that, the Wii version is awesome, especially the controls.

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

Although I only have the Gamecube version, I played the Wii version and loved the controls. I have no problem with either and I wana get the Wii version so I could play both ways. I voted for Wii because its a more in depth experience.

Re: Does the Wii version contain any extras?

Without realising it, my control style developed into a very strange one. Instead of moving the analogue stick to turn, I just pushed it forward with one thumb, and moved directionally with my other thumb, moving the camera. I was effectively, turning the world instead of myself, so I could just walk forward all the time. I didn't realise this until I played the Wii version, and failed quite miserably at moving using the Nunchucks.

Aren't you so glad you know that?
