Favorite TP Enemy

A very unoriginal topic, but it hasn't been done for Twilight Princess yet so I'll be the first here to make it. What is your favorite enemy in Twilight Princess? It can't be a mini-boss or a boss, just a regular enemy (Darknuts count).


For me, the Chilfos found in Snowpeak Ruins are my favorite enemies in Twilight Princess. While they can be frustrating, I found them to be a real challenge. They are by far, in my opinion, the hardest enemies any 3D Zelda games because they actually try to kill you! They are very aggressive, and that is a rare trait for enemies in Zelda games nowadays. By aggressive, I mean that they don't even give you a chance to attack them so it makes it hard to pull off your fancy attacks or even use your Ball and Chain. The one church-like room in Snowpeak where you have to fight like 10 of them is definatly the hardest point in Twilight Princess, for me atleast. I hope more aggressive enemies like that appear in Zelda Wii because I find myself going back to Snowpeak Ruins (and the Cave of Ordeals) just to fight them again!

I'll have to definitely agree with you. The 'chil'fos for me were the enemies that damaged me the most, even more than the bosses. They were pretty cool looking and that church room where you had to fight like a dozen of them at once was sweet. I was expecting the boss of the snowpeak ruins to be one huge one that you'd have to chip away at with the B&C but oh well. I hope nintendo will make more enemies like this in the future.

Darknuts, Ice-spearmen, and Dinofos were my favorites.

I think you mean Boar, lol.

Um... I like the Mini-bosses and Bosses. Everyone else was meh.

Yeah, Boar. As far as minibosses and bosses go, I like the B&C Knight, King Bulbin, Zant, Ganondorf, and Stallord.

Darknuts... but those ice spearmen are still among my favorites. I agree with the TC, they are one of the hardest enemies in the game. I usually had to rush them right away without even using the B&C, and if there are 2 or more it becoems a real pain. They are part of the reason of why Snowpeak Ruins is my 2nd favorite dungeon of all time

I hated the ice spearmen, they were so damn annoying. My favorite has to be the Darknuts as well. It was a thrill to fight them, I always got into the game and went crazy when I fought them in the Cave of Ordeals.

Darknuts! It's all about the Darknuts! When you get a few of them in a room, get them all started and battle your way through them! Brilliant!!

Clearly the darknuts. One of the best parts of TP is the combat, and when battling the darknuts, you can actually use all those tricks you picked up.

Plus, when battling three or so of them in a room at the same time, it's probably more cahllenging than any of the proper bosses in TP.

Very true, in fact, battling those 3 Darknuts in the Cave of Ordeals is probably the hardest part in any Zelda game (excluding anything in AoL). I wish that the official dungeons had fierce battles like that where you will die if you don't use the skills you picked up.

FYI, there are 4 Darknuts in the last room of the CoO if you complete it once and return. Very challenging! The only was you can stand a chance is by taking off their armor with bombs first, then using the mortal draw over and over.

I liked the Mega Freezards. C'mon, a big Ice Dragon? What could compare to that?

The lizaflos were my personal favorite. I'd have a blast using my secret techniques on them. One of my personal favorite techniques is having the lizaflos spot me and have him run up to me as I just stand there. Then, when he gets close, I use MORTAL DRAW! Muahaha!

Darknuts: Fights were intense, looked really cool
Lizaflos: Fun to fight
Redeads/Gibdos: Looked cool

I would say the Gorons were my fav enemy because they were built like bricks and looked quite cool.

Darknuts couldn't play TP without em'

The ice guys were easy...you would just do the attack where you jump over their head and slash. Insta kills them...like everything else.

Oh God these were my LEAST favorite!!! I agree that I like aggressiveness but these guys were ANNOYING as a group because they could throw so far and then it froze you.

Many other enemies annoyed me as well so it's pretty hard to chose. However I LOVED fighting the boar moblins and bulbins on horseback that was so much fun! The horseback combat was one of my favorite additions to TP. I even go back and fight them in Hyrule field just for fun.

Darknuts for sure they were challenging and kept you on your toes. Especially in a group.
