Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
For a Gamecube game, the graphics are outstanding, but they aren't impressive for a current-gen game. The textures look pretty bad compaired to current games, the animations are unrealistically stiff, and certain things looks a little too blocky (circular objects, character hands). With all that said, I am very impressed with the look of Link's Hylian Shield and the water effects (especially in the fishing area)!

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
Yeah they were good. But all the cutscenes which show everyone close up should have at least been rendered to look shiny, more realistic, sharper and glossier - that would have also made the hands of Midna and Zelda look proper and not so blocky.

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
I think the game looked beautiful, they may not be the greatest graphics ever, but they were still gorgeous. They pushed that lil' Gamecube to its limits with TP, without any notable slowdown through the game at all. Although graphics don't effect gameplay directly, it is still great when you can look at certain places in awe. I remember I used to be stunned at Lake Hylia on OoT, and TP didnt disappoint either. I especially loved how much effort and detail must have been put in alot of the boss rooms, I suggest you all take a good look, really intricate ceilings etc.

I think the graphics were awesome and realistic. You guys always over-excite yourself and think its gonna be really awesome and really realistic.

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
I just got my TP and wii about a week ago, but I have to say that I'm very impressed with the look of it. I think that the textures, link, the NPCs, and the movements are all more detailed and complex. I love how the water looks, especially when you're swimming, and I like the way that the light kind of filters through the leaves in wooded areas.

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
TP's graphics were awesome, plain and simple. Many people complain that they're not good enough for a Wii title but guess what? It is essencially a GAMECUBE title ported to the Wii. On my eyes, the game doesn't need to look any better. The water effects are gorgeus, Lake Hylia made me want to jump into my TV, the textures are a bit blurry sometimes but it's nothing to worry about. Not to mention all those details like being able to look what's beyond the horizon
I think graphics will never add to the gameplay, a bad game will always be bad regardless of the graphics. I wouldn't care if all next-gen games looked this way, it would be much better if they focused more on adding content and improving gameplay instead of making pretty graphics |

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
For a Gamecube game? DEFINATELY Outstanding. Not the best you'll see compared to most next-gen games, but TP definately pushed the GC to its limits.
Sure there were a few minor graphical setbacks in TP, but nonetheless a beautiful game.

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
The graphics looked great to me, honestly for me games don't have to have better graphics than this. I know I stand quite alone on this one.

Re: TP graphics: better than ever?
I found the graphics in Twilight Princess to be breathtaking. I don't if that affected gameplay at all, but I loved both. ^_^
