anyone think Zant was a total freak?

Zant was a real freak...he was crazy! he actually freaked me out... and it's because he laughs 1000000 times more than Ganondorf.....please post what you thought about him before battling him.

Oh god! Zant was like, on crack or something! And that one cut-scene were they wouldn't let him be the king of twilight, and he's sitting there throwing a fit. The way he fought in sword to sword kombat was crazy!!! @_@

He made me laugh a lot :3
I loved fighting him though xD
I think he was meant to be a bit of a spazz though... the psychotic type, you know? xD

Early in the game, I was sad because I thought he would be the main villain. I wanted Ganondorf to be the main guy behind it all because I didn't think Zant would be much of a challenge. He seemed to be a pretty generic dark guy with little character.

Then later Zant's character was shown and I thought it was cool. You don't ever see a completely insane villain in Zelda. I thought he was as powerful as he should've been and the right amount of emphasis was put into his story.

But now, though, I'm a little afraid of him. See, I'm doing a three heart run with no shield, the Ordon sword, the Zora tunic, and no healing stuff in bottles, so I think he'll kill me many times before I kill him. It seems like the thing that made him killable before was blocking his attacks with the shield. I'm right at the beginning of the 8th dungeon. =[

He was a cool villain. I never notice what people mean by the chicken noises though. I only ever heard them once on the Fire Stage, the rest of the time, he's just making 'pretty normal' sounds. And the swordfight at the end was seriously cool. Very fun, and it really added a climax to his character. He's getting more and more desperate to finish Link off, and he finally loses it with some scimitars. It also made him look so ameteur, which was actually good for his character. He was a weak person attempting to be strong like his God.

I mean, throughout the game, you actually get to see his character evolve, which is good for a villain. He was much better then Ganon in the end, who just felt like he was tacked on. I had a lot more fun fighting Zant.

I actually laughed when I saw him pounding the ground, before Ganon comes in that ball of fire. It was hilarious.

I actually liked his insanity. It's pretty amusing, and rare to see in Zelda. And I really enjoyed fighting him. The way he gooes "HEHEHEHEHEHEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" and then throws those round thinfies at you...funny. Also at the end, when Midna killed him with her hair. LOL.

Zant wasn't a freak....he was a TOTAL PSYCHO! But that's okay! His character development was excellent and I love his story.

I laughed when he was crying over not getting his way.

Before the battle I was thinking another boring "Ooh, I'm badass" character. Like I haven't seen enough of them already.

Fortunately, he turned out to be original, and crazily funny. I hope to see more guys who are different from Ganondorf, Majora, and Vaati.

Ganondorf is the badass. Majora is the psychopath. Vaati's the greedy little snake. Zant is the under-appreciated servant.

I'm agreeing with Daphnes; I like Zant. He's refreshing for a villain, and so earnest in his evil desires (earnest in believing Ganondorf is a god, too); you can watch his mind twist. It's just so twisted; Zant wants to be a servant no more, but what is he to Ganondorf?

I think they handled the actual character VERY well. It made sense for him to be this crazy and deranged person, who is actually pretty vulnerable.

But in terms of his boss fight... i enjoyed it alot, but they couldve saved that for someone else, they should handled Zants boss fight differently, I would have loved to see you fight in an epic twilight themed battle, maybe throw a bit of platforming in there, jumping from pillar to pillar in the twilight relm, and man, have some wolf fighting going on there, considering that is your twilight form, you didnt realy need much use of Wolf form in that dungeon, and actually none at all in that boss fight..

Personally, I thought Zant was the freaking awesomest boss Zelda has ever had. I mean, he acts all stern and serious, but then once you battle him, his inner self comes out and he's crazy. Once I say his attacking, I remembered Majora's Incarnation from Majora's Mask. They have extreme similarity with all the craziness, dancing, voice, and the way he even whips balls of energy at you.

He's sickeningly crazy. Funny to watch sometimes...
