Favorite Major Ganondorf?

Who is your favorite 3D game Ganondorf (based off personality, not appearance and strength)? Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, or Twilight Princess? (I personally think they're all the same Ganondorf (obviously, OoT and TWW are), but this is debatable), but their personalities vary within the three games. In OoT, he's power hungry and somewhat smug, in TWW (my favorite Ganondorf personality), he's insightful and somewhat regretful, and in Twilight Princess, he's again power hungry and also has a strong desire for revenge and the obliteration of light.

So, I would have to say TWW. He seemed right.

TWW Ganondorf, in every way. He had motives for his actions, and more depth than OoT and TP's rather flat "RAWHR! ME EVIL!" portrayal. Plus, he had more impact on the world when he was hiding away in TWW than when he was the King of Evil. Which is actually kinda sad.

I liked TP Ganondorf the best. OoT was ok but not really close up combat because you were either deflecting energy balls or shooting light arrows. TWW Ganondorf was still fun but the fact that he didn't transform into an actual Ganon disappointed me and he was sort of easy. In TP you have 4 forms of him and get to fight him in so many styles which i find the best.

Funny that everybody chooses the wind waker version of Ganondorf. For I thought OoT's (or maybe by now TP's) one was the most populair.
Cause for the past years, I stood nearly alone in my opinion of finding tWW's
one the best. I only heard critique about him being lame and not "evil" enough all the time. But anyway, I'd chose tWW version, not only because of his more wiser character, but his looks were quite cool too.

I think I liked the Ganondorf in TP the best. Probably because he looked so damn awesome in his excecution scene. Also, the way he spoke after you knock him off his horse at the end; it is so poetic and perfect. "I will tell you my heart's desire? To take this foul blade and use it to blot out the light forever" - well something like that anyway. "The history of light and shadow will be written in blood". This guy is truly awesome seriously.

"The wind... it blows", was that the quote from TWW Ganondorf? This Ganondorf seemed more realistic about what he does but yet still pure evil. TP Ganondorf however had learned his mistake and had become more like TWW Ganondorf but was probably realistic about having to kill Link because Link is his only threat.

OoT Ganondorf looked pretty cool and I loved how he swore to get revenge on Link and Zelda's ancestors.

The mood of TWW and TP were so different. I loved the way TWW presented all the the things in it, like Ganondorf's eagle, the dragon and especially Ganondorf. But TP's mood felt realistic, yet dreamlike at the same time, notable places are: the fishing hole, Sacred Grove, Castle Town, Twilight Covered Hyrule, etc. TP presented Ganondorf in this really well, but it wouldn't have hurt to mention a bit more of his backstory... or maybe that made him mysterious. I don't know.

TWW ganondorf has clearly gained some more character(or he just got older and wiser), wich is why he is my favorite. however I think he lacks some evil, because now it doesn't look like he is trying to conquer Hyrule, but instead follows a destined plan...

and to go off-topic, in appearance TP ganondorf is best and the same with the amount of battles. But OoT ganondorf wins the magic battle of the three, OoT ganon does the ganon battle best.

in any case TWW ganondorf has the best personality and depth in the story...

It's a tie between OoT's and TP's, so I think i'm not going to vote >.<

Haven't played TP.

OoT was a lot like "evil evil evil! Kill Link! POWER POWER!! NO PLAN JUST KIDNAP DAT ***** AND GET THE TRIFORCE!!!11!"

He didn't seem very evil.. but god Ganon was evil as hell. TWW was just so much better. He had depth and was smart. You never really suspected (if you don't follow the timeline) that Hyrule was sunk and all that. He looked a bit chubby, but he had the best plan.. and that sword duel with him was pretty epic. A lot more epic than playing Tennis with Ganondorf. Ganon was more epic in OoT, but TWW is best for personality and planning.

But to make it clear.. I think some parts in TWW would've done better in graphics like TP. (namely, boss battles and Windfall)

tww gannon sucked! sure the final parry was cool but it sucked!
i did think OoT was good but i said TP! i dont even need to explain it so obvious why! in tww gannon didnt look cool and he was fat! he was crap! just like gannon the kingi found it cool in OoT how he swore revenge! and the TP guy was tougher (tougher not harder) (he was pretty easy)

i choose tww ganondorf. Mostly because the way he started the fight and the battle it's self.

In terms of personality, OoT Ganondorf had very little. He wanted the Triforce because he was the villain. That's pretty much all we got out of him.

TWW Ganondorf was the best for personality. He seemed to acknowledge his mistakes, and actually gave reasons for what he did rather than just "Triforce is shiny, Ganon want!". His insanity when King Daphnes made his wish on the Triforce was a nice touch as well.

TP Ganondorf was a joke. Sure, the battles were cool, but he barely seemed to notice that Link was even there until the ending, and didn't make any comment about the Hero's Clothes or the Master Sword. Can't speak for anyone else, but if a dead ringer for the guy who almost killed me strolled into my castle, I'd probably be a lot more suspicious.

Personality wise, TWW was clearly the best. He also seemed more believeable, and actually had a developed character.

In OoT, he looked the best, but wasn't really developed.

TP Ganondorf had nothing going for him really, aside from the battle you actually had with him. He was, like Pandaemonium said, a joke.

I liked the WW fight... people winge that it was too easy, but i thought it was really fun x3

I think the reason most people are picking WW ganondorf is because he was developed the most. I mean, you run into him at the beginning of the game, then towards the middle, and then the final battle. So he had plenty of time to put his 2 cents in.

In Ocarina of Time, he appeared in Link's dreams, you saw him with Zelda in the castle, when he was chasing Zelda, you can't really count his phantom, and the temple of time (twice), and the final battle. In defense of OoT ganondorf, he was the first of the ganondorfs to come along. All previous games only had Ganan. So they mainly played off of the old stereotype of the power-hungry evil guy, and probably also because they had to make him the prime candidate for the Triforce of power.

I think the reason most people turn away from TP Ganondorf is because he didn't appear until the game was like 3/4 of the way finished, and even then it was only a small glimpse. And then he was there at the final battle. So there really wasn't time for character development, in his defense.

But since I like all three versions, I can't vote.

Definatly The Wind Waker's Ganondorf! While he didn't have my favorite design, he had was by far the most realistic. You got the feeling that he was more than just a cliche villian, and he definatly had some major cahracter development. You actually know what Ganon has been through, and you realise how much wiser he has become since Ocarina of Time. The best part about WW's Ganondorf is that you think he may be doing the right thing by trying to flood the Great Sea to bring back the old Hyrule.

Personally, I think WW's Ganondorf is the greatest character in the entire series. Nintendo put a lot of depth into him so you really understood his troubles which is rare for a villian.

I liked the Oot version, he seemed very arrogant and invincible. I especially loved how he placed himself on a pedestal and proclaimed that he was supreme. Ah.... Nostalgic.
