Twili Orgins???

Forgive me if there is a thread currently discussing this or if it was dismissed, but I just skimmed through the titles and figured there wasn't. Anywho...

This was brought up in another website and I find it pretty interesting... could the Twili really be the Gerudos?

It seems a bit farfetched at first, but there are several quotes in the game that actually open up the posibility:

Note how the two quotes, although reffering to different subjects (The Interlopers and Ganondorf), both say "establish dominion over the Sacred Realm." The Interlopers themselves could be the Ganondorf's Gerudo loyals who were trained in sorcery by the King of Evil himself.

A lot of people tried to get into the Sacred realm. It says this in ALttP. Only Ganondorf eventually suceeded. Because of this, its not a long shot (HA! LONG SHOT! I MADE PUN!) to believe that the "interlopers" are different from Ganon's minions.

I don't think it would be the Gerudo. And it couldn't be the Sheikah unless they physically changed. I don't know...

I do think the gerudos are the twili. my arguments:

first off, its known that the gerudos could use magic(Koume, Kotake and Ganondorf for example) as (atleast ganondorf) tried to rule the Sacred Realm.
Secondly the twili lost their king by his greed which sounds like the triforce hungry ganondorf.
Third, the Arbiters Ground's must have been built after OoT since it wasn't there yet at the time. So unless the Gerudo's allowed the Hylians to built a prison on their ground, there must have be something that has happend that allowed the Hylians to built the prison like the banishment of the Gerudo's.
Fourth, there has been no talk of any Gerudo related item except the desert while there used to be talk of Gerudo's taking Hylian Men to grant them children and such.

This however makes me wonder about some off-topic stuff: When did Ganondorf's invasion of Hyrule happen? When was Ganondorf sent to the Twilight Realm? When did he encounter Zant? And how much time is it between the start of the game and the point of time of the last question?

This seems to play in the Young Link Timeline After Link went to Termina. The Gerudo's were still loyal to Ganondorf, Ganondorf hasn't been to the sacred realm yet or is in the process of it(that would explain his triforce).

No I don't really belive that although I must compliment you for comeng up with something like this but aren't the twili people good but they just got turned evil by zant. And aren't the Gerudos meant to be evil.

Hey,maybe it was the dark world from alttp,which just got a bit smaller.....and maybe it's the people who in fsa accidentaly stayed inside the dark world after the portals closed.....

At the beggining they were evil but later,in the Twilight Realm lost all hate,anger and desire and become good.

the gerudos arent bad themselfs. Ganondorf made them bad so he could concorer. but he never got them to sweep into hyrule because he got the triforce of power and was able to do it all by himself. also the gerudos were theives not enemys.

also the gurudos could have used magic and created the twilit realm and gon in ther and got turned into beasts. zant could have been the only male in 100 years

that doesn't make sense since the Twilight already existed as a shadow of hyrule.

yeh, but if it was a shadow of hyrule, wouldn't it copy hyrule castle, ordon, kakariko, and all of hyrule? it's not a mirror of it like in fsa....

Look at your own shadow. Is it a dark version of yourself, having your face and all. no, it doesn't, it can be longer, shorter or transparent which indicates that the Twilight Realm doesn't have to be an exact copy of Hyrule...It can be totally diffrent.

An Shadow is like that it is totally black with no details, flat and it doesn't posses the same shape...

If it doesn't possess the same shape, it's hardly a shadow, is it?

A shadow looks like a 2D "imprint" of the object that's been stretched here and there.

Lanunaryu say's that three magaicins used dark magic to try to get the triforce. The goddess sealed them away into there own world. I think that there ancestors became the Twili.

Although I disprove the underlined piece, the interlopers became the twili. however the question here is who were the interlopers? I have reasons to believe that those are the Gerudo

Does it really matter where the interlopers came from?

It may be the Guredo, doubt it though. I guess it would explain why they are gone in TP

The Twili can't be the Gerudo. Even if the Gerudo were sent to the Twilight Realm before Ganondorf, why would they have an established monarchy before Ganondorf shows up and brainwashes Zant into being his #2 dude? I think the Gerudo just disappeared like the Kokiri.

And another thing. I remember Midna or Zant saying something about Zant being a servant or somewhere down the totem pole to the Twilight Royalty. The Gerudo tradition was if a male was born, he would be leader. If Zant is a guy, why would they keep Midna in power?
