Sledding Records and Midna's Speech

I know this is two completely seperate ideas, but I thought them both interesting.

First, if you've already beaten Yeta in the sled race, what is your record time? Mine is 1:15, but I'm shooting for faster.

Also, how do you think they created Midna's speech? It sounds like someone reading the manual to a toaster...in reverse.

1:14 was my best (like 13 tries...lol)

and midnas speech can get annoying sometimes. ITll be interesting to hear where they got that audio for the game though

Sometimes when you select "talk to Midna", it sounds like she's saying "What do you need?"

Regarding Midna's speech, I've recorded a few and reversed them and sped them up, slowed them down and all that jazz.

I can't make much out. Except one that SORT of sounded like 'Don't Stop Link' but then after repeated listening it just sounded like jibberish. Though I am certain I CAN hear Link's name being mentioned.

But then, the possibilities of the speech being in japanese is pretty high.

YES! I told my sister that when she was watching me play. I was like "did she just say 'what is it that you need?' O.o"

And about the time, I've only beaten Yetto 'cause I didn't notice the shortcut, and then my file got deleted by accident. D:

I think I read somewhere that it's japanese played backwards. This could be a rumor though. Whatever it is, it's cool sounding.

I dunno what it is. My guess is it's just a random assortment of phonic sounds played randomly. The effect of her speaking reminds me quite a bit of KOTOR.

I think Midna mumbles lots of different things. I've heard 'What do you need' and 'I will always help you' I think...

it is obvious, midna talking is a combination of the recorings of emily rose -dubbed to japanese by a bad actor, and then played backwards

And about Midna's speech, I think it fits good with the game. I mean, it's more like a foreign language, like the language spoken by the

or something like that. All I know for sure is that I like it.

Midna's speech is cool, it fits her character well.
And if you think about it, she is kind of 'talking'..... So maybe Zelda does have voice-acting in it!?!

It annoyed me the hell especially at the ending where she's suppose to say Link I see you later.
She calls him weepoe or something. And it BUGGED THE HELL OUTTA ME. Because everybody can understand Midna I believe that what she's talking is Hylian. So you call Link Weepoe in Hylian. ARGH!

i to also think that she is talking hylian, because i believe that The Three magic users banished were originaly Hylian before they were banished into the Twilight Realm, so it is quite possible that she is speaking hylian.

Midna does seem to have small parts of actual speech. Everytime, I can make out a "Link", but the rest I've dubbed simply as 'Twili' (or probably just sped up Japenese). As for the sled race, my best time is 52 secons (trying for 45).

I've never beaten Yeta, I'm too lazy for side quests.

i dont know how they made her talk. it sounds like its ramdome bable or sound samples with 3,000 different affects on it. i dont think it is revers though because for the most part her speech is normal letters just sounding wierd. i remember at one point though her emphasis on an ood soundin vowel made it seem like it was some version of edited baby babble. who knows.

I liked her voice. Sure surprised me though, it;s close to voice acting. Anyway, I have no idea what it is, but I'm guessing gibberish... or maybe its slowly hypotizing us to buy more nintendo products....

Actually, press up and hear what Midna says. I can't remember word for word, but I've noticed three different english sentences. One of them being something like "What do you want, doggy?"
