Things I don't understand yet
I keep coming up with questions that seem to leave the story of Twilight Princess with more holes then a swiss cheese...Can anyone clarify these?
1) How does Zelda know Midna? 2) For what purpose did the Moblin king kidnap all the kids? 3) What does Midna mean when she's talking to Zelda and she refers to the takeover of Hyrule as "What you've managed to do"? 4) Why did Zant need Midna if he considered her power and the fused shadows "Old" magic? 5) During the warning by Lanayru to Link, why are the Twili represented by Dark Links, and what is the symbolisim behind one of them turning into Link? 6) Whose orders was the Moblin King following, exactly?

Re: Things I don't understand yet
Here are answers to yor questions
1) after zan't attack on the castle zelda remained in her tower and was visited by midna and they became sort of 'friends'. 2)the moblin king was working for Zant/Ganondorf and they were either ordered there or they just wanted to pillage the village. 3)i dunno what yor talking about 4) He just wanted her to join him so he would have less opposition. This is the same for most canadian parties lol. 5) they aren't the twili yet cuz there still in the realm of light. i don't quite get the imagery of link being one of them but there's a thread sumwhere explaining it. 6) Ganondorf/Zant |

Re: Things I don't understand yet
3. I think Midna said that because Zelda was the one who made the decision about Zant, and she wasn't able to save her kingdom from him. Or maybe Midna was just bein' her usual cheeky self, and blaming Zelda for the fun of it. xD
Not quite sure 'bout the others though. |

Re: Things I don't understand yet
1) How does Zelda know Midna?
Ice wizard mentioned it before me, but Midna was obviously visiting Zelda before Link arrived on the scene. Maybe trying to find out more about the light world so she could defeat Zant or something...? 2) For what purpose did the Moblin king kidnap all the kids? I suppose it was just for the fun of it. They were sent to the villiage to spread the Twilight there I imagine and just thought they'd kidnap the kids to cause more anguish? 3) What does Midna mean when she's talking to Zelda and she refers to the takeover of Hyrule as "What you've managed to do"? Yeah, blaming Zelda for the mess more than likely. C'mon, she didn't put up much of a fight, did she? 4) Why did Zant need Midna if he considered her power and the fused shadows "Old" magic? He must have known that the true hero took on the form of a 'proud beast' whilst in the twilight realm as well? So, after seeing this wolf running around returning light to the world he felt threatened? Or the 'Old Magic' thing was just a bluff to make Midna think all she (well, Link) had worked for was for nothing. 5) During the warning by Lanayru to Link, why are the Twili represented by Dark Links, and what is the symbolisim behind one of them turning into Link? This has been debated many times. I reckon it was just as a shock tactic - if Link was not careful he could turn to the 'dark side' if he gained a lust for power or whatever...? 6) Whose orders was the Moblin King following, exactly?

Re: Things I don't understand yet
Here's something I don't get:
Why did Midna, at the beggining of the game, refer to Zelda as "Twilight Princess", if Midna is? Was it to draw suspense...err...confuse Link? |

Re: Things I don't understand yet
I think she was just poking fun at Zelda, seems she is now trapped inside the Twilight and all (well most) of Hyrule is engulfed in Twilight.

1) How does Zelda know Midna? Don't know. royal family thing i guess. 2) For what purpose did the Moblin king kidnap all the kids? to piss link off. 3) What does Midna mean when she's talking to Zelda and she refers to the takeover of Hyrule as "What you've managed to do"? Zelda gave in to Zant.Or as fishy_hylian said, she ws poking fun. 4) Why did Zant need Midna if he considered her power and the fused shadows "Old" magic? Well, Midna killed zant with the fused shadows,i imagine thats why. 5) During the warning by Lanayru to Link, why are the Twili represented by Dark Links, and what is the symbolisim behind one of them turning into Link? 6) Whose orders was the Moblin King following, exactly? I'm going with fishy_hylian's answer. |
