ROLLGOOAAAL!!
Aye, rollgoal! Anyone else addicted to this game? I've heard countless stories of people who despise it - I think it's great!
Up to level 6-6 so far, and I'm starting to find that 50 second time limit tight, so I'm not sure if I've got what it takes to beat it all. So aye, why a new thread? I wanted to share some tips and tricks for rollgoal with you good people. Please add your own, and what version it's for. As it happens, these tips relate specifically to the Gamecube version. ![]() What I've found to make life easier is that if you spin the camera so it's facing you, it makes navigating the ball much easier. This way, you tip the board by pulling the analogue stick towards you rather than away from you, and you have a clearer view of where to stop the ball for corners. This applies to straight sections and sections that weave slightly. (Mostly courses x-1 to x-4). Next up, is the red "half pipe" sections of board. These are a right royal pain in the chuckies the first couple of times. The trick is to angle the camera to the side, so you're tilting the analogue stick from left to right (and vice-versa). The weight of the tilt is tricky at first, but it's something you gain a feel for. It also depends on how much board you have to stop the ball. If it's one brown section (straight) moving to a small green section (corner), you have to be fast in counteracting the tilt, so you'll have to judge just how much you need. But please note you never have to fully tilt the stick. If you do you'll have a hell of a time regaining control. When a red section goes immediately into a small green corner section, the camera can remain to the side, as you'll be pulling toward you. This only seems to apply at the end of course (x-7 and x-8 if I'm not mental). The trick is to tilt enough to bring the ball up the small half pipe, but then instantly pull the stick back so ball continues around the corner. This action does not require jerking the analogue stick in big motions. A small sweep will see the ball safely to the goal. It's tricky, but doing it is satisfying. ![]() Lastly (and hot off the press!), is the semi-circular green pieces, seen around the x-5 and (I think) x-6 course. These can be finished similarly to above. A smooth, controlled small circle on the analogue stick can guide the ball round in a very slick motion. It can be controlled and stopped before the next section. I haven't mastered this yet, but I'll be putting it into more practice. So, always remember, don't use full motions due to overpowering tilts, always swing the camera to your advantage, and never give up. I agree, if you sneeze, youv'e lost, if you get an itch, youv'e lost, if you shake by accident, youv'e lost. I like the game but its not the best mini game.

[Purple]I <3 this game so much on the Wii. I found thi out on about 2-3. When you start a level, Don't move the ball and then take the nunchuk attachment thingy out. Then you will be able to play without that frustrating wire in the way. But when the game is over you have to connect the nunchuk again.[/Purple]

Aaaah, I didn't know that you could change the camera angles o_o'
I've been trying to swerve the wii-mote around - but it's incredibly hard doing it that way XD Spent over 500 rupees on that frigging 1-8 level T_T Thanks for the tip! ^o^

Its way better on the Wii because you tilt the Wiimote, screw the joysticks.
But I only did 1-8 to get the lure, But it took me countless rupees and hours to get there, I'm not sure I really wanna do that again because there is no infinite money glitch in the TP for the Wii, only GC, which I find is stupid.

The Wii version is hard as hell. The GCN version is challenging but insanely easy in comparison. I'm hard pressed to even finish X-8 on the Wii. On the GCN I got to 4-X. I stopped because I didn't think it had an end.

The special item distribution is very messed up in TP....give us some stupid inventory items....we don't care. I don't want more rupees! Especially if I have to complete the longest quest in the game just to carry more rupees! I didn't even bother doing the bug collecting thing when I found out the reward.
