May sound stupid...

Impaz was one of the Shiekans that protected Princess Zelda in OoT right? I may be wrong, but I could have sworn that that was her name. Impaz has appeared again in the ghost town that the Boss Goron clears for you. Am I correct, or am i totally of tract?

Re: May sound stupid...

Not totally of track, maybe a little comfused.

IMPA was the name of Zelda's guardian in OoT. Impaz is the old lady in the hidden town of TP. She actually states she was named after the founder of the town, which I asume it was the original Impa.

Re: May sound stupid...

Well I do. If Impaz was truly named after Impa, and that town was founded by Impa, then that is the original Karkario Village. Its very confusing since it doesn't have a graveyard and it doesn't connect to Death Mountain. Its much more confusing then the Temple of Time.

Re: May sound stupid...

I was reading an OoT text dump, and Impa isn't the actual founder of Kakariko, just the leader. It was a Sheikah village and she allowed everyone to move in after that race either died out or vanished. She also hired the carpenters to renovate it. This Kakariko is still in about the same geographical location in TP, meaning at the base of Death Mountain (although it has been totally rebuilt and the terrain has changed), so the hidden town can't be the original Kakariko. Either Impa founded this other town after OoT, or someone else named Impa (or Impaz) did, perhaps a descendant. We know that Impa appears as Zelda's nursemaid in 2D Zeldas, so it's probably just a name passed down through her descendants.

Sorry to over-analyze~ I tend to get riled up when discussing complex things like Zelda history or Harry Potter subplots, this simple question just got me really interested in whether or not the Sheikah survived after OoT and possibly into the TP time period.

If I wrote something horribly inaccurate, feel free to slap me in the face. <3

A sign in the village says 'Old Kakariko'.
Read the Hylian.
