Zant, the new Agahnim (ending spoilers)

All I am hearing when people talk about TP characters is Midna. Yes, Midna is a great character, but what about Zant?

I loved Zant's character in Twilight Princess. It tended to remind me of Agahnim, who is considered one of Zelda's greatest enemies. A young power hungry and desperate Twili, who was tricked and corrupted by Ganon to do his biding.

Zant seemed like he was a fearful bad guy, but near the end, it turned out that Zant was insane, retarded, and flat out weird. It actually made things better. Unlike Ganon, Zant was phycho. He seemed like a mass murderer! One who actually felt he couldn't be beaten, that no matter what happened he would return.

Zant was greedy, possibly even more than Ganondorf, because he actually broke down due to his desire. I actually felt sorry for him during that scene, because it seemed like he would have cried had Ganon not arrived. He clearly pwned Agahinim, who seemed smarter, yet not as powerful or had the best personality. He also didn't know he was being used, so actually all that happened was his own doing, not Ganon's.

Battle wise, Zant was probably my favorite boss battle of the game. His ability to change the scenary around him, and use a variety of attacks made him very powerful. He was even fast then Ganon and used a sword fairly well (it got through Link's defences). I think Zant is one of the best new bad guys since Agahimin and Majora's Mask.

Not completely. Agahnim was Ganon's alter ego, more like a different personality that was used in the light world.

Edit: Ganon even refered to Agahnim as a completely different person, only saying he was an alter ego.

Many things also suggest that Agahnim is a different person completly, I for one believe that Agahnim and Ganon are not the same, as Agahnim's plan was to bring Ganon back to the light world. They act totally different also, so I think its a Yu-Gi-Oh! like connection.

See.

Re: Zant, the new Agahnim (ending spoilers)

Aghanim was Ganon's servant in the Light World. Unlike Zant, he knew full well what he was doing and wasn't manipulated into doing so. But since you want to always get on topic, Satori, I will.

Zant was cool until he became a *****.

That's a b-i-t-c-h, by the way.

That what I don't like. People hate Zant's true colors. He actually caused alot of damage, and his insanity allowed him to go all out, instead of using caution in the face of death. Midna was the only reason he failed. Instead of fully killing her, he caused a large turn of events that lead to his and Ganon's downfall. The ultimant ironic situation.

Re: Zant, the new Agahnim (ending spoilers)

Lets be honest, if you consider the popular timelines he is infact the OLD Agahnim.

Yu-Gi-Oh.....
Yugi: Lets Duel!
Kaiba: You will lose this time Yugi my deck is unbeatable!
Y: We shall see
Yugi's friends: GO Yugi
*Yugi draws*
Several episodes later
K: Ha Yugi you are finally defeated I have 3 Blue Eyed White Dragons on the field and an Ultimate Blue Eyes White Dragon too aswell as Obelisk the Tormentor SO YOU LOSE AHAHHAAHH, next turn.
Y: Come on Heart of the Cards...*draws the perfect card and wins*
K: HOW?
Y: Because you don't believe in the Heart of the Cards Kaiba you will never win *as he moves his hand a pile of cards fall out*
K: How did they get there... YOU CHEATED!!!?
Y: No the.... Heart of the Cards put them there...*runs away*

Never use Yu-Gi-Oh as a talking point... and don't get me started on DBZ

Seeing as how Ganon can't enter the Light World yet Aghanim can? It gets a bit cloudy during the final time you battle Aghanim, but during the rest of the game it's clear that Aghanim is his own person.

Well, technically, the same stuff that happened in the game could have happened, except Zelda would either be still alive, could have called upon the light spirits to help her bring Midna back, or would have given Link her piece of the triforce. Basically, Midna was important, but it was still Link who did the work and found the places. Didn't she use the last of her power to warp herself away from Lanayru anyway? I thought that Zant intended to make the light Midna "coveted" kill her. Heck, regarding whoever spoke to Link in Hyrule field, the Goddesses could have even done that.

Regarding Zant, I did think he was interesting. Here we had this guy who's life could have actually sucked as much as he said it did, who had his only hope totally shattered by the fact that, apparently, people forgot about him. In his broken state, he was quite messed-up, and with what seemed to be a god granting him divine power, he could have thought that he was some sort of Moses. Zant wasn't childish or retarded: he was ******* insane. Like the Joker of Batman fame. Also, at the very least, he made the people of Twilight powerful, special operation forces that could be infinitely revived if one was still alive instead of cannon fodder.

agahnim was ganon's alter ego in the light world
much as ganon uses zant in TP
except zant is his own person and is just being used.
