Angry most challenging/annoying puzzle.

Hello, im not sure this should be here, if not can a mod move it.

What I wanted to know, what is your hardest puzzle in TP.

Mine would be in snowpeak ruins, you had to dig for a key twice. The first time I Knew you had to dig for it, as there was a little bit of the chest poking up. The second time was annoying as I didn't know were to go and I was stuck for ages. Till I changed into a dog and seen the black sparkley spot where you can dig.

Whats your's, discuss.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

I struggled like 3/4 hour in the sky dungeon to get these rotors leading to the boss spinning. I walked through the entire sequence for getting on top of the central building four times. The first time as you do normally, the second time looking for a switch or door I could have missed. Then seeing the cage on the ceiling, then screwing up the third time falling through the floor and getting it done on the forth try. (I know by now, that it wasn't even required to do this.)
Although it's a close call with the puzzle in the Castle, when you got into the side corridors and the doors didn't open, even when the enemies were beaten. Though, I saw these ghosts standing around the wall quite early, it was hard to find out what they wanted to tell me. Who would have guessed you needed to spin attack that wall. Took half an hour to figure this out. :-\

Nonetheless it's probably good like this, because just solving these two problems faster would've taken my time under 35 hours and that would've been way too short IMO. Puzzles like this are a part of the Zelda series as well.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

For me it would have to be the second ice block puzzle in Snowpeak ruins. It made me feel extremely stupid and took me three days ( 3!!! ) to figure it out. Also worthy of mention is the puzzle in the sacred grove with the two statues.

I used arrows to cut the ropes. It took me... at least 10 minutes to figure it out after rolling into the wall, bombs, digging in that spot (even though it didn't specify to dig).

I think that the whole damn Lakebed Cavern was hard.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

Ice blocks #2. That, combined with the Blizzards, Freezards, and Chilfos made Snowpeak go from my favorite dungeon to my least favorite dungeon very quickly.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

Definitely the Sacred Ruins puzzle with the two statues. That puzzle perplexed me greatly for awhile, until I accidentally stumbled into the near-solution. After that, it was only 3 or 4 more moves to victory.

The ice blocks didn't phase me one bit. I'm good at that kind of puzzle for some reason.

Embarassingly, I did get stuck in that Ordon house where you get the shield as a wolf. There was an open window, but for some reason I couldn't exit out of it. I tried jumping and getting Midna's icon to pop up, but it wouldn't work. I felt really, really silly when I ended up climbng into it the old-fashioned way.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

I'm going to say the second block puzzle in Snowpeak Ruins as well.
When I finally figured it out I was mad at myself because it was so terribly simple.

City In the Sky.

Especially after you get the big key. There's a puzzle where you have to grapple the grate, pray that it isn't anywhere near the metal bars or the fan, and then lower past it and grab some freakishly placed brown thing that is nearly impossible to grapple. If you miss that crappy puzzle (yes, that isn't difficult, it's just plain crappy) you have to go through the ENTIRE dungeon to get back there since there isn't a place where you can grapple the vines hanging from the stinkin' fan. Whoever made that puzzle didn't make something great, he made total crap.

Actually you can grapple the vines. Theres a pillar with vines on it below that you can climb onto and then grapple up. I found this out after running through the whole thing three times or so =)

I tried that. All of the pillars had a rounded top and the vines just made Link grab them.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

I climbed on top of the pillar and grappled from there. I think there is only one pillar that this works from, the one with a flat top, and you have to aim at the top of the vines on the fan to get a good hold.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

I was so stuck in the castle.. after u opened that door by using ur boomrange i didnt look around as a wolf and didnt see that i could dig under the wall I was stuck for an hour or so..

then it took me some time to realise that i had to use to boomrange to blow out one of the candles inside the castle.. well "some time" that one took me forever!

And the puzzle at snowpeak and where you have to push those boxes around (and it was so easy ones u realised how to do it)

Near the end just getting the boss key and getting to the boss room. I hated that dungeon.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

The city in the sky was VERY frustrating. I also despised the little puzzle with the two statues before you can obtain the master sword. It made my brain hurt. Or perhaps that was because I was playing it VERY early in the morning after a long day.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

The box puzzle thing in the SnowPeak Temple Ruins...it was so confuzzling, I spent hours on end trying to do it and I finally did. It seemed so easy once I did it, then I smacked myself.

But yes, that one definately.

Re: most challenging/annoying puzzle.

I have to say getting the Sol's out into the main Twilight Plaza.

That was the most aggravating 'puzzle' for me because of all the messing around you have to do with placing the sol down, running around, shooting the hand AND dealing with enemies as well. I lost stupid amounts of hearts - but I panicked because the hand coming after me freaked me out XD
