I just bought the game like two days ago and I'm almost done with the Forest Temple....but something's not clicking, there's something I wouldn't say wrong because there's nothing wrong with the game but something is missing, for example I don't know if its just me but I didn't like the opening scene (the one where link rides Epona and turns into a wolf), it was just to plain and boring, it didn't really feel like they put too much thinking into it. Another thing is that sometimes I don't feel like I'm playing a Zelda game, sometimes the game lacks that "Zelda game" feeling (this is just based on my opinion), I don't know but its kinda sad, also Epona looks cool and all but it doesn't look like Epona, maybe it because I'm use to her sweet and noble look from OoT and MM but anyways I thought I just had to shre my first feelings towards the game and see if someone else has the same or similar ideas. I'm really hoping it will get better as I go further into the game.

Warning: Do NOT expect good dungeon music. The Forest Temple is as good as it gets. The dungeon music is very repulsing. |

Re: There's Something About TP....
The game can't get any better than it is. It's true, that one sceen where you turn into a wolf was kinda dull, but I still think the game is amazing. I was shocked to find Epona the way she was, and missed her pretty look, but boy is she amazing looking.

Re: There's Something About TP....
I had so much fun at the start of the game. I remember being completly clueless on what I need to do, but slowly I figured it out.
I enjoyed every bit of the game... well almost all of it. I also love Epona's look.

WhItE_LinK, maybe you were expecting too much from it? Though you're only at the beginning really, so I'm sure things will get much better when you get further into the game. But I guess everyone is different. In my opinion, the game is amazing, but others might be disappointed with it(:O). Everyone has different tastes and expectations. Some people mightn't like it because it was a much different game compared to OoT. But it had it's similarities. I like it, alot. And hopefully that 'Zelda Feeling' will come to you, soon ![]() |

Re: There's Something About TP....
I wasn't feeling the game at all in the start, it looked and felt weird for a while
The start was quite empty, nothing really in the village of interest at the start, it wasn't until the temples you actually felt like you was doing something, instead of just going through the motions Sure the lands were massive, but there wasn't much to fill those lands at times. They were very tight with everything except rupees, most of which you didn't really need at all i'd rather of had chests full of arrows/bombs than 10 rupees, that wouldn't fit in my wallet 99% of the time i hated the lack of use of the clawshot as well, you couldn't use it on trees or chests like you could before I was wondering on the lack of stuff, if was to do with it being inbetween consoles & the delays on it it felt barren at times & almost unfinished, with them removing bits too maybe the next Wii game will be more of a padded out game Don't get me wrong, i very much enjoyed it in the end. ![]() |

Re: There's Something About TP....
I know what you mean. The intro completely lacked the Zelda magic. Then the main game had moderate magic through Lakebed then dwindled to low magic for the rest of the game and vanished at the ending.
TWW however had so much Zelda magic it was almost overwhelming. Then the magic disappeared for the triforce hunt and came back with it's original glory for the rest of the game. If they can make a Zelda game with TWW's magic but not rush it, so that things like the triforce quest were gone and there would be more dungeons, it would be mind boggling. If TWW wasn't rushed it would have been far better than TP.
