Bokoblins or Moblins?
Okay, you know the creatures that ride the boars? I thought that these were the bokoblins at first. Now, I think they are actually a form of moblin. I think the bokoblins are the creatures that we see in the Ordona Province. You know, with the white hair?
Un-related: I hate how they took out the awesome looking moblins from an early screenshot of the game.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
I believe that the creatures on boars were originally supposed to be bokoblins, but they took out the moblins seen in an early screenshot., so they made them to be the moblins, and the white haired creatures are the new bokoblins. Compare a WW bokoblin and a TP white haired creature. They look very similar.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
I can clear this up rather quickly. If you got to Nintendo of Japan's Offical Zelda site: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/rzdj/index.html
Click "Enter Here" and wait for it to load. Once it is loaded click on the first swirly square thing on the right and wait for it to load. Then when it is loaded on the top of the loaded window click the black square with japanese words in it. It should be the offical art of the enemies. Click on their pictures and under their Japanese names are their english names. The ones that shoot the arrows and ride the boars are Bulblins. The ones with the white hair are Bokoblins. And the boar things are Bullbos.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
So a new creature altogether? That's interesting. Weren't the bulblins originally announced as bokoblins at E3 2005? I'm pretty sure these names are accurate, but I noticed that a few had incorrect English names.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
I'm a little late but, yeah, some things are different. Doesn't surprise me though. The Japanese are often different from the english ones. But, in this case I think this is accurate. And I've heard the fire boss called that before.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
Maybe I'm alone here, but I think these "Bokoblin" things are a really poor excuse for a Zelda enemy. I hear them described everywhere as "orcs", which is really sad. Why not just call them "generic RPG fantasy enemy"? That's basically all they are.
The enemies in the Zelda series have always been very memorable and unique. But aside from a few returning enemies, the ones in this game were just really bland. I loved that they made the overworld an enemy filled place like the original games, and every once in a while you see a Tektite or Leevers (the latter I was very glad to see again), but it's mostly just those boring, generic-looking purple goblins or goblin archers or goblin boar riders. Yawn. Bring back Moblins. |

Bulblins are the archers and boar riders. They are related to Moblins like the Bokoblins, but they just look like bandits to me.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
I always figured that king Bulblin was in fact, a moblin.
Then again, he could also just be an over sized bulblin.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought that! At first, anyway. Moblins were originally bulldog-like creatures, but now, more recently, they have looked like pigs on two legs. Ganon is in fact a Moblin, which is why I like how they changed the original moblins to look like him. Look at King Bulblin, he just looks like an oversized Bulblin (as you said) with two giant horns. Bulblins themselves seem to be related to Moblins, but Bulblins lack any piglike features. In fact, they look like greenish, human-like creatures.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
I don't think Ganon is a moblin. He is his own beast.
Moblins looked like bulldogs in LOZ, AOL, and OOT. They weren't in ALTTP, and every game afterward (and LA) had them look like pigs. The more I think about it though, King Bulblin is probably to the bulblins that the great moblin is to the moblins. Oh well. It's the third game without them. It's not as bad as the lack of octoroks.

Re: Bokoblins or Moblins?
Bulblins are the ones who look like their heads/mouths are covered and are green.
if it's not green its a Bokoblin. plus bokoblins mouths arent covered and they don't wear much in the way of clothing
