Post Things taken out of Twilight Princess

The darker, scarier castle spirits were removed, this was kind of dissapointing since I liked the darker interpretation of them than the newer, more cartoony look. It doesn't effect the game THAT much, but I heard that after when Iwata checked the game's progress in '05 he told the people working on the game to change it so it wasn't too dark. That's a little dissapointing too, but I still haven't played the game yet so I won't know untill then.

The giant ogre tree monster or what ever it was intended to be was removed. I never really cared for this guy, but he looked interesting and probably had something to do with the forest temple in this game, perhaps the forest temple was supposed to take place after you get the Master Sword, because in this screen he has the Master Sword obviously.

The Ghoma chase in the cave, woods or where ever Link is in this screen. This part looked awesome, I know that Ghoma herself made it into the game but in a different form. I never really payed attention to this part of the trailer but it looked pretty cool, but I can't see how Link would attack Ghoma while running.

Not much to say about this guy, he was probably an early Twilight creature, and judging from his posture and such he was probably of those common Twilight creatures found in alot of Twilight areas in the game.

The Moblins were taken out, this I'm a little angry with because I loved the Wind Waker Moblins and their new design looked really really cool. It's not a huge loss but they were memorible enemies from the past games and it's a shame to see them out of Twilight Princess.

The woods in Twilight Princess was the BIGGEST dissapointment throughout the whole game. I was expecting huge sprawling woods akin to MGS3 (Not as big as they were in that game, but an area or two that was huge and seemingly endless). It's a big loss that they were taken out of this game, alot of fans like me were dissapointed too because they were taken out of OoT too and expected them to return in this. I hope in the future people manage to use Action Replay on Twilight Princess and discover all the things taken out from the game.

I haven't played the game yet, but I was dissapointed (I saw a video clip of the battle). I thought running through the tunnel would turn out to become a second part of a battle: you know, have the boss change a bit (like removing the armor) and then change the strategy of defeating the boss. In this case, the only way I could have thought to defeat Ghoma was to somehow make it trip over it's own feet (either with the Galerang, bombs, etc...) and then when it hits the ground, you turn back and slash it's eye. Zelda bosses need more strategy into them...

The more I look at that creature, it makes be believe that this enemy was like a "blueprint" of what those Twilight creatures (or whatever you want to call them) were.

I agree, however maybe some thought was put into this move: Moblins are Ganondorf's loyal subjects. And since Ganondorf wasn't a major part of the game, maybe they just weren't needed. From the trailer, it seemed like Link was fighting a Moblin in a castle than a dungeon. So maybe they decided at that moment to have that Twilight King (forgot his name) infiltrate the castle, instead of Ganondorf.

I have a question. Did this scene ever happen in the final cut? To me, I've always thought that there would be an outside battle in the rain. Did that ever happen?

What?!?!? N0O0O0O I loved the look of these ghosts, they were so myseterious!! They look pretty freaky too. I figured that they would have been the ghosts of former soldiers in battle. They would have created a real sense of history to the scene. Awww if they arn't in the game I will be very sad

Aaaw I loved the myseteriousness of this character too!! This totally sucks, I never realised how much cool stuff they deleted. I strongly think they should have gone ahead with the darker theme, DEFO. I mean MM was pretty dark when you think about it and Zelda is known for its deep stories, THEY SHOULD BE DARKER, imagine how enticing they would be!!

Yes. There are numerous battles in the rain.

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
Final Ganondorf battle takes place in the rain

Not something big, but being able to dive in the green tunic as shown in one of the early trailers. It's gone.

You can swim freely with the Zora armor, so it really doesn't matter. Whats the difference if he's wearing the green tunic, or the armor? The most important thing is the fact that Link can still swim freely underwater.

Thuderslf, those castle sewer ghosts ARE in the game. They can be found at the
Spoiler (Highlight to read):

9th and final Temple, Hyrule Castle. Their actually featured in a couple of rooms...mainly pointing you in the right direction as wolf link when you use his senses.

Heh, I watched that trailer the other day, and noticed just how many things were missing. It's a shame, really. But, the game turned out great anyway.

Yea, I wish that the sprawling forests, and that giant tree thing could of made it in the game. But the first couple of trailers were from the early development stages, so not everything is going to make it in the final version.
