Well, the game was meant for the GCN, with the mirror and the control system possibly affecting the gameplay.

For the Nintendo Gamecube, this game is amazing. to give it .1 more is a bit insulting dont you think? considering the Wii version was marked down for essentially being a port of the gamecube version with some slight changes. Nevermind. I wasnt expecting anything different from gamespot.

How can they say

You can't go wrong with either version of the game, but if you're still trying to decide, the Wii version is just a bit better.

if they give the Gamecube version a slightly better rating?

Last time I checked, 8.9 was more than 8.8. I wonder if anyone at gamespot passed preschool.

Did they really say the Wii version is better? I didn't read the review. And the only difference is sound. The Wii version got a 7, and the cube version got an 8. All the other scores were the same.

What? How is the sound lower on the Wii? Is it even any different? Could this review be any more nonsensical?

The Wii is stronger than the GC? Which means the TP Wii version has average graphics compared to what the Wii can handle, but for the GC version, the graphics are amazing.

I think I said that right. You get my point though? They're comparing them on two different systems.

But they gave graphics a 9 on both systems, but gave the Wii a 7 in sound compared to an 8 on the cube version? That doesn't make any sense. I can understand that the Wii can do better technologically, but how can you give sound a lower score, and give graphics the same score?

I've come to the conclusion that video game reviews are nothing but crap. Probably because the standards for a video game journalist are ridiculously low (nonexistent, actually). There's no Roger Ebert of the video game industry and there never will be.

I think there is only one way to say this...

I mean really, their review on Twilight Princess don't versions they make any sense what-so-ever. How could you rate TP less than tWW? TP was CLEARLY a better game?!

I think the sound took a point dive because of the quality of sound from the wiimote... I believe that is what that FAT-REVIEW-GUY was complaining about in his pure whinge review.

I don't trust game reviews at all, and I never really have. While 8.8 and 8.9 could very well be right they seem to overrate way too many crappy games. The biggest reason TP got such a low score was because to them it didn't deviate enough from the other Zelda's, while to any sane Zelda fan that itself is reason enough to praise it.

Other games like Grand Theft Auto don't even get a mention of their repetitiveness and lack of advancement as a series and they score in the mid to high 9's, so how a classic series like Zelda could lose points for being "Zelda-like" is useless. In fact if you've played GTA III (which is a great game as far as I'm concerned) you've played every GTA since. The writer obviously wanted to be "different", and by doing so he stirred the pot.

Because the way fanboys have advertised TP, people were probably expecting it to come with the second coming of Jesus or something. If there hadn't been high expectations, TP would have scored higher.
