Cuccos...

Okay, in the Hidden Village, there's a big white cucco called the cucco leader by the cats. I attacked it to see if I got the swarm of cuccos traditional to Zelda games, and instead of being attacked, there was the weird section of about 10 seconds where i shifted out of link's body and started controlling the cucco. I have absolutely no idea why, but it happened every time I did it.

Why?

Re: Cuccos...

In TP when you hit a Cuccoo multiple times, you control it instead. It's just one of those random things they threw in. As far as we know there's no purpose to it (like having them attack you instead does...). A part of me wishes they left the tradition in there.

Re: Cuccos...

No cucco attacks? Ahh I loved watching cuccos gone wild and me and my brother bet on how long Link would last.

I haven't played the game yet, but as a Cuccoo, can you hover (if you jump off a ledge/cliff)? Can you still pick up items? I'm just curious because, maybe there's a sidequest that can be done by controlling a cuccoo. And I agree, I wished they would have kept that tradition alive. Maybe having you control it if you're wolf-link, but in human form, you'd get pounced on (actually, scratch that idea. I think it still would be funny to see a flock of cuccoos going after a wolf).

Re: Cuccos...

It doesn't last long enough to do anything decent with it. Perhaps if you could find a way to make it last longer, or set the Cucco next to wherever.

There is a mini game at Lake Hylia called: Flight by Fowl. You can get a lot of cool stuff with it... Especially poes... Muhahaha!!! Luckly I found them all.

Re: Cuccos...

Yeah I was hoping you could change day to night or night to day becasue the nights and days are way to long not to have a sun's song, so i spent 5 minuets trying to get the cucco to crow so the night would change to day.
