So who is the Twilight Princess?
I'm getting my Wii & TP for Christmas but I cannot wait any longer!
Sorry if there's already a thread about this, I've heard people say it's Midna, though some people I know think otherwise, and part of me wants it to be Zelda. So if anyone knows please inform me!

Hmm what do you mean why? xD because she is? She just states there's another world bound to hyrule, so she's basically just ruler of another dimension, the twilight

Do you really want to know? Well, alright... Midna is the princess of all of the Twili, the inhabitants of the Twilight Realm. When you beat the game, she sheds her imp-like form to become a human-like princess, not some cute little beast who enjoys nothing more than riding on the backs of wolves.

I loved Midna, she's awesome... Like when she transforms into mirror images of Link's friends who got kidnapped, and how she can dissolve through those iron bars. She's also just a really interesting character.

The title of most zelda games revolve around a new character or item
Ocarina of Time: Item -> new Majoras Mask: character/item -> new The Wind Waker: item -> new The Minish Cap: item -> new The list goes on and on, therefore it wouldnt make sense that the Twilight Princess is Zelda. Anyways, we have concrete proof that she is not.

RAWR ZELDA IS THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS.
At the end of the game Midna sheds her skin to become a ladybug. Just thought you guys should know.
