Where are Link's parents?

I am not sure if this was ever answered, but does anyone know?

This should be in General Zelda they died in the great war, but i'm not sure.

How do you not know that they are dead? I mean, seriously, practically every Zelda Fan knows so, even me. And I haven't even played Zelda in months. No offense, but it kind of comes to mind when you first see the Prolouge.

Doesn't it menchion the links parents die in OOT. how do you think a hylian ended up in the kokiri forest?

TWW Link is not the same person as OoT Link, since TWW happens centuries after the events of OoT. That being said, we do not know what happened to Link's parents. They could be dead, they could be on a sea voyage--who knows?

How are we to find out about Links Father if it doesn't menchion it in the game?

Maybe he's a pirate.

Link's father probably fought in this war, and died. Were all men not drafted in the armyt after 18 if there was a war? :S

To Panique: Why would he be a pirate? I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I have about as much of an idea of where Links father is as you do, but why pirate?

Which game exactly are we talking about? OoT or TWW? The GameCube area suggests TWW, but some of you are apparently talking about OoT.

OoT: Wounded mother brought baby-Link to Kokiri Forest to escape the war, and she died shortly after. Father's whereabouts unknown. I'm guessing he was fighting in the war. Maybe he died, or if he didn't, he never knew what became of his family, and probably thought they died.

TWW: Unknown, nothing mentioned. The facts that Link and Aryll live with their grandmother, their parents are never mentioned, and there are no pictures of them, hint that they are most likely dead.

Try to keep the topic in this thread to The Wind Waker, since it is in Gamecube Zelda.

I don't care how much you want to argue with me, OoT is not a Gamecube game.

In OoT Links mom dies, his father could still be alive. I've even heard rumors that the King of Hyrule is Links father, making Zelda his sister, yet I find that hard to believe, I guess some could argue the case.
In ALttP Link's parents were killed in battle. And as far as the origianal game Link wonders to Hyrule from another country, so his parents could still be alive.

Heh. In the Japanese OOT manga I've read that Link's mother faded away after asking the great deku tree to take care of Link. Meanwhile, his father was fighting for the sake of Hyrule. Where he died.

This IS WW we're talking about, right? Right.

Anyway, I think the best possibility is that Link's parents were lost at sea or something.

I reckon they probably died doing something noble, or if they are still alive, it would be cool if Nintendo could create a game were Link looks for them, or if that was a side plot or something.
