More Info on beginning of game

Before you read this, even though I am a relative newbie, I have been a long time lurker. So don't call this bull as in the dungeons thread a little while back.

----------SPOILERS-----------

You will have to: learn combat and horse riding, aquire a fishing rod and caught a fish, got a slingshot, a lantern, and a "horseshoe-shaped reed" that calls Epona, and "bird shapped reeds" that calls hawks to your arm, that you can throw at bees' nests or monkeys.

You rescue a couple of children and a monkey from moblins in the woods. Link's on his way to Hyrule to deliver a sword and shield. But ****, Moblins on boars attack, abducting "Colin" and Ilia, and Link gets dragged in to the Twilight, at which point he transforms in to a wolf. He wakes up chained in the ruins of Hyrule Castle, and Midna helps him escape.

With Midna on Wolf Link, you can attack multiple enemies at once with a circular energy around Link, kinda like the spin attack, which you have to do cos the enemies in the Twilight Realm often revive their dead buddies. Wolf Link then goes to meet Zelda, who can tell from the blue eyes that he's actually Hyrule's Savior! He then goes to the non-Twilight village, still as a wolf. People are scared of Wolf Link, but he can talk to animals. He then saves the nearly-Twilight Faron Woods by hunting down shadow insects and collecting the tears of light they've consumed, restoring Light Spirits, AKA Great Fairies. The Light Spirit then makes Link human again. You're then on your way to the first dungeon.

----------------------------------------------

Oh, and this if from a UK magazine called EDGE, and they said it took about 6 hours to get to the first dungeon.

EDIT: Oh, and ignore the other threads. I'm not spamming, my computer sucks.

Re: More Info on beginning of game

I read the same report a few minutes ago posted on The Hylia and I'll write down the same comment I wrote on that site, as it seems relevant to our knowledge of the adventure:

From what is said, now we can infer that the goat-like entitie we saw in the trailer shown at E3 2006 is a Spirit of Light and that the weird meter we saw in one of the latest wolf-screens is there to represent the number of tears we've collected... If I'm not mistaken, that meter had fifteen circles - if anyone has that picture at hand, would you mind checking it out? - (and in Majora's Mask, you needed fifteen stray fairies to restore a Great Fairy...) Coincidence? I think not...

Oh, and other thing that seems interesting: Twilight enemies often revive their dead buddies? Well, in that case, fighting them will be challenging indeed... just imagine... when you think you're about to win a fight, the twilight beasty revives all of the foes you destroyed until that moment and you have to start all over again, this time killing them faster to avoid any more surprises... it will add to the tension of the game.

Undoubtedly, this game is going to be awesome!

How do the twilight enemies revive dead buddies? They disappear after their dead so that doesn't make sense.

Maybe they respawn or something.
Anyway, all this info is very interesting. I wonder if this means that the Great Fairies will be going AWOL in favor of these Spirits of Light.

We've only seen them disapear when Link has killed them all. Let's say three Twilight Enemies were going near Wolf-Link, and he could only get two of them. Since there's still one left, the other two will remain on the ground motionless until the third is destroyed or until the third manages to find some distance & time to revive one of his downed brotheren.

Well that's my best bet anyways. It would truely stink (and be exciting) if a small twilight creature could revive a large one (like Darknut sized).

Re: More Info on beginning of game

So, wolf Link stays in wolf form, even out of the twilight? Interesting... so, its not a case of "get out of the twilight and you'll be okay."

Very interesting. Reminds me of Majora's Mask's beginning when you need the Great Fairy's help to turn you back into human Link (when you are stuck in the form of Deku Link).

So, does this mean that you can transform into a wolf outside the Twilight Realm?

Other interesting things:

-Faron Woods? So, that's not the Lost Woods. . . or could there be another forest that is the Lost Woods?

-people are scared of Wolf Link- I find this interesting. I really want to see the NPC's reaction to Wolf Likn while I'm playing now.

-you can call birds: Yes, old news, but I never thought you could do that outside of Ordon.

-"Chained ruins of Hyrule Castle"- Ruins? Very interesting...

Very nice write up. That meter must be the tears you collect:

About the Twilight enemies reviving, I think they will just respawn like the Stalchildren (or whatever they are called) in Ocarina of Time at night when you are young Link.

EDIT: I'm not sure I believe this. If this were true, more people would be claiming this same story. And where are the scans?

Re: More Info on beginning of game

Certain stalfos pairs would be able to respawn in OOT if you took to long to defeat the final one, all they did was just keep the bones on the ground so I assume they could use the same general concept for TP.

Twilight creatures explode in that puff of smoke and disappear as soon as you kill them.

But remember year long delay, we haven't seen the Twilight creatures die since the E3 05 trailer.

And I would also like to add that was revealed a VERY LONG time ago.

Kee, do you know if that article has any NEW pictures, or just the same old scans that we have seen for the past six months?
