TP "Official" Overworld Theme

This song has been going around the net. They say that it is the true overworld theme composed by Koji himself. I don't know if it is on not, but I personally hope it is. I was slightly disappointed by it not being to total original Legend of Zelda Theme, but it quickly desolved. It show that this is a true OoT sequel.

Edit: I haven't heard any confirmation about it yet, nor have I heard it in any of the demos, so I wonder how this popped up.

I'm actually amazed that noone made a thread on it yet.

Is it just me or does that link just bring you to some software download page? I wouldn't mind hearing that to see how it compares to the overworld theme that I have from one of the demos.

Yeah, I heard that ages ago, as I mentioned on the other thread. I like it, it gives off a great "jump on your horse and start adventuring" feel. But is it just me or is the quality a bit...poor? Doesn't sound like an orchestra.

Yeah that's the exact one from one of the demos! I don't have a link to the overworld.mp3 by itself, but I do have a link to a pack that includes it (under 5MB still though). Personally I love it, and hope it is the final overworld theme.

NICE....thanks for posting that Hungry Gamer. That song has a true epic adventure to it. I really hope that piece of music shows up somewhere in TP.

oh man, that brings back so many memories from OoT. I like how it stays true to the original overworld theme and still gives a new and unique feel to it.

Wow, I didn't know that Eiji went in for all that "Spyware protection" stuff.

This is just the demo theme, and even then, it sounds too much like OoT's overworld theme.
And even then, why would the development team decide to use the overworld theme as menu music for the demo?

It's hard to rip an mp3 direct from the game (remember, no soundtrack yet since the game is still unreleased).

Plus, that's from the E3 2005 demo. So it's probably sequenced music based off of the older tunes. You can tell it's recorded direct from the demo by listening to the horse battle music.

The MIDI sequence in the first post was most likely put together by a fan who heard the overworld music from the E3 2005 demo.

The only way to answer that is by saying "because it's awesome". I'm not betting on it being the final overworld theme at all, but I would love it if it was.

It's not even that great of a piece, it's a simple fanfare, passing the lead to each section.

I haven't heard this in any of the demos I watched, thats why i'm confused. Its not the menu, because that is the same music from the latest trailer, right?

Thats what most of the other overworld themes are. Etherway, this piece may be a short version, or simply an alternate version of the overworld theme, just like Wind Waker. In Wind Waker, the overworld theme and the trailer music is different, however they are very simular.

Yeah, this was the E3 05 menu screen music. It sounds cool for a fan-made MIDI, but it would suck to have this garbage in the final game. It sounds way too MIDI-ish, very cheesy and lame. It sounds like it belongs in an SNES game. Now, if they had that same theme orchestrated, I'd be fine with it. Just imagine that same theme, but with real harps and instruments! That'd be nice!

Personally though, I'd love to hear Link's Awakening's overworld theme updated or the Tal Tal Heights theme as the overworld music in TP. Heh, even better, the Dark World theme! I'm actually very excited to hear what music Nintendo chooses for the overworld theme in TP.

It is too MIDIish. It was a rushed find. The Dark World Theme... not THAT is something to look forward to. I can imagine travelling the Twilight Realm with a remixed version of that theme.

I downloaed the music that was in daeth's link. Its just awesome,i really love how they redid the overworld theme,and the battle music sounds great too.
