A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

This is a picture from the Forest Temple in TP. Watch it closely. Can you see the round door on the upper right corner of the shot? If yes, notice the red pattern on it's surface. Isn't that the Kokiri Emerald's shape, wich is also found on the Deku Shield wich Link buys in OoT? Yes, it is, but it's seen in reverse, isn't it? This could mean that on the other side of the door, the shape is the exact same as the Kokiri Emerald, wich makes me think:
Why is it there?
Could this temple be equal to the Forest Temple we encounter in OoT?
Does this confirms that Kokiri Forest really is in TP?
May all this just be a coincidence?

Post your thoughts and ideas here!

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

The same doors appear in the Forbidden Woods in TWW, and they are said to have once been the Kokiri/Koroks' home, so, it's possible. Don't hold your breath for the appearance of the Kokiri, though. All we've seen so far are monkeys.

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

I'd like to point out something else.

Do you notice the switch that you can activate with your gale boomerang at the top of that pillar?

Then look at the door in the background, how on earth are you supposed to get there?

Sollution: Hit the switch and the whole piece of floor you are standing on will turn so you can enter the door =D Fun new puzzle =)

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

I made a thread about this a couple of months ago. I asked the exact samething, and now that I looked at the Forest Temple demos, I think this is the TP's equivalant for the Forbidden Woods, just like The Dodongo's Cavern was to Dragon Roost Cavern.

I seen the Goron mark in another demo also. I think it was the newest one. This may signify the Zora/Water mark too.

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

Why did I have to read your post, God of Triforce? *cries*

Anyway, we spotted the Kokiri mark on the doors some time ago and I guess it's generally believed that it has connections with the Kokiri.

Maybe the Kokiri evolved to monkeys first and then to mini-trees < not being serious.

I agree, we probably won't see the Kokiri... That symbol is probably just placed there for decoration, to make it feel more like one of the Zelda games.

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

I think there is some relation with this scene and the Kokiri Forest. There are white spirits in the air just like the old Kokiri Forest.

Temple of Time ruins?

Goron Mines I've heard before. More than likely in the game...

Temple of Time ruins? What could have happened to the Temple of Time?

the list of dungeons in this thread is fake, it was made up by someone. but the temple of time will probaby appear. seeing as we got the mastersword. (im guessing, it either got destroyed by enemies, or it either just got deserted with no one taking care of it, so it just kinda fell apart piece by piece.)

one thing i noticed too, is the graphical update, compare the version of the enemy show above in the picture, to the same enemy you see in one of the short gameplay movies (or the second trailer.) it looks way better.

Yeah, I guess the only way to know is to wait for the game to come out!

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

Although i would love to have a good catch up with the kokiri, i dont want TP to be too much like OOT.
Ive always considered that symbol to be a Deku symbol, not a kokiri symbol, to me it refers to the kokiri as much as it does to deku scrubs.

Re: A Connection With the Kokiri Forest?

Well the Kokiri music was in the Wind Waker and they were not in that, well they were but, not as Kokiri, they were Koroks.

I assume you want a proper answer, even though your were kidding.

Watch this trailer and you'll see why "I named" it Forest Temple
