Re: Fishing in TP

I'm guessing it's for both, although I don't think GC fishing has been mentioned.

But, being one of the most popular games in OOT, they would have told us if it wasn't in the Cube one!

Re: Fishing in TP

I believe that fishing will be on the gamecube version of the game too. If I remember right they said fishing was in the game before they said the game will be on Wii, I believe that TP would originally going to be just for the gamecube. But decided to put it on the Wii halfway through the developing process.

Re: Fishing in TP

I just hope that we will get some good ol'e fishing in TP. Nintendo would do a huge mistake if only including fishing in the Wii version..

Re: Fishing in TP

I'm sure the fishing will be in both versions. It's just a feature of the game itself, and wasn't tacked on just for the Wii controller. Using the Wii's remote to fish is merely just to make the experience more involving for the player. The whole point of it is to show that that remote can be controlled just like a fishing rod. However, this is a treat for Wii owners, it's not something that people playing on the GC can't enjoy.

Fishing was one of the most memorable parts of OOT, and it would be stupid not to have it in the regular GC version. I mean, after Wind Waker's lack of such a minigame, I bet Aonuma's team realized just how important it is for hardcore Zelda fans. It was a pre-planned part of the game, no doubt.

Re: Fishing in TP

Miyamoto stated in the most recent issue of EGM when asked if there where any differences when you played Tp on the Wii:
Quote:
SM: The one thing that we want to clarify is that we aren't developing to different versions of Twilight Princess where on might have different events or different dungeons or different enemies. But we are looking at things like graphical upgrades or some additional features.
So yeah fishing'll be in there. Besides EGM issue 192 (Jube 2005) had a special article about the demo they played on the gamecube which included a fishing section.

Re: Fishing in TP

I think for both. It can't be THAT much of a difference for the Wii or GC. ^^ Oh well, I guess we'll see when it comes out in November, unless the postpone it again.

Re: Fishing in TP

Given that you are supposed to be able to fish in a lot of places, I wonder what use it will be put to. Perhaps you can use the fish you have caught as bait, like the all-purpose bait in TWW?

So it's true, Wii TP will not only play better, but look better as well.

Correct not to mention TP on Wii is the only version which will run in wide screen.

Re: Fishing in TP

I thought Nintendo made it VERY clear, that both Wii and GC versions are exactly the same.
Just a few things,

1.Wii version is WideScreen, which is totally sweet.
2.There is a fairy to show where your pointing your Wii-Mote.

They're the only two things I remember, other than that Nintendo will make them the same.

Re: Fishing in TP

I'm definitely going to have to get a Wii. It sounds awesome. ^^ As for fishing...I've never fished in a LoZ game.
Can someone say how much a Wii costs?

What from i heard, it will cost about 250 $, that is pretty cheap in sweden.
Anyway, i enjoy to fish on the original gamecube controller first, then i will buy a Wii and fish in the Wii version of TP

I remember that a long time ago, in some magazines scans far far away, it was stated that the programer that made fishing for OOT secretly started the fishing for TP, Aunoma liked it and... voila! i´ll love fishing

Re: Fishing in TP

I'm pretty sure fishing will be in the GC version as well. I mean sure it wont be as fun as doing it on the Wii but you cant have a Zelda game without the fishing! haha
