Do the Islanders even know they are saved?

Like the title says: Do the islanders even know they are saved??
I was wondering this while posting a post in another thread.. On the end of tWW they dont party or something, and i think they dont even know they are saved by Link. Only the Gods and stuff, but not the islanders.. what do you think?

To them, Ganon is just a legend, so they don't ever think that Link just put the legendary blade of evil's bane through his skull. I think that Outset Island is just happy to have Aryll back, and that everything's back to normal, totally unaware that Link just saved the world.

Man, that sucks... Do you save the world, does nobody believes you...

Hmm I think they would believe you...with some proof. The MS is imbedded in Ganondorf's head, so you can't prove it with that. However, the Triforce mark on your left hand may be all the proof you'll need. The Rito, Millie, Zephos, Cyclos, Valoo, Great Deku Tree, and Jabun were well aware of Ganondorf's existance, so they could back you up on your story, and maybe the island elders would see if you're telling the truth or not (Grandma, Sturgen, and Orca).

people on Outset will know, they have 3 good witnesses, Aryl, Link, Tetra.

for the most part know one probably knew about Ganondorfs return.


but the people on Outset probably have been told what had happend.

I bet the only ones that knew were the Outset Islanders, Koroks, Ritos, and all the improtant people i.e. Jabun, Great Deku Tree.

The villagers obviously noticed the chuchu's and moblins moving around their terrain. They probably knew something was up, and when it all went away someone must have saved them. There wasn't a reaction that the Link in the game saved them, but I'm sure that Link would have told his villagers about his quest.

That's the whole thing. Some people are bound to know, but Link isn't the kind of guy that wants the whole world to know. In TWW, he's just a little island boy trying to save his sister ho gets caught up in something big, so after saving Arryl, he finishes the the job to help his friends and get back at the guy who kidnapped three girls.

Gah .. you touch upon the thing that made me so badly want to smash the TV screen after completing WW. Why WHY can't they give us the chance to walk around and speak to people and just .. enJOY the place after working tirelessly on the game to save the world and stuff?

The silly ending with the names is groovy and all, but I wanna go around and .. speak to the villagers and stuff ._.

The Islanders will just probably go back to living how they were before the monsters began roaming about. *frowns slightly*

I dunno. It seems in every Zelda game that after you save the world from the forces of evil, no one seems to give a squid! I was so ticked off after Ocarina of Time that I couldn't go running around with my Master Sword and Ocarina and talk with people. No. You get to watch credits and then see Zelda and Link look at each other when they're little, it states "The End", and that's it. That's the only thing in any Zelda game that disappoints me.

Yea that would be cool, maybe get some new quests to do.

You know i hope in TP we can actualy travel around Hyrule after we beat the game. To talk to people and stuff. Would kinda be cool if new quests would appear just for the fun of it.

It's quite rare that you can walk around the game world after you beat it.

I wish it wasn't rare!!! I wish Zelda had that like Mario games do sometimes. But I guess it would have no purpose unless extra little mini quests were after it. Link could roam around Hyrule as the great hero that he deserves to be recognised as for once. Mario is just to boastful. Link needs a little ego, I mean come on!

Not all of them, I mean.
The elders of every race and the legendary creatures should have been aware of Ganondorf.
Also, Outset people should also know it, because they witnessed that gigantic bird kidnapping Arryl and therefore they should know about Ganondorf.
Not sure, though.

Well, some of them knew about Ganon and so would believe the story if they were told, but the rest I suppose just live on without knowing they were saved.

I mean, the world was saved, what would Link care if he gets credit or not? He's getting credit with us, at least. I'm sure top secret anti-terrorist yadda yadda have saved a bunch of people from terrorist attacks and yet don't get credit. Sometimes it's better if the people don't know, I suppose.

Yeah. I think all of the elders and anybody who spritually believed in the forces of the Hylian Gods as well as Ganondorf would have noticed. As for everybody else, this is just a classic case of "Ignorance is Bliss".
