Midna outside of twilight realm!

There is footage at gametrailers of a demonstration of twilight princess on wii and at one point during the demo Midna appears infront of Link! (In his human form.)

This could mean one of two things, Midna exista as normal in the real world, or link has found a way to stay hylian in the twilight realm? post you thoughts and comments.

I believe it has been stated in the past that "Midna will stay with you outside the Twilight realm in a recognizable form" (to paraphrase), which caused all the speculation such as "Is Midna the Master Sword?", so I would say that you either have an Item that allows you to contact Midna (ala Tetra's Stone), or she stays with you in the ethereal-ish form, shown in the video, outside the Twilight.

I'm leaning towards the pendant idea, since she just appears out of nowhere in the video to give link help.

Where excactly does this happening occur?

well they said that midna would excist out of the twilight, but only in the slightest meaning of excist. I hve been wondering about that for a long tim and it kinda make sense that she is a ghost. Look at the trailer again and you will see another ghost. Im talking abot that green thing in the begining.

Are you talking about the man sporting a welding mask on his head? If so, he doesn't look very ghost-like to me.

Indeed, it looks more like a glow from something magical, but not a ghost.

Yeah, it seems like Midna's got some kind of telepathic link with Link, and when they're communicating, a ghostly version of her appears. I'm guessing Midna's the new hintmonger.

Ummm... notice how link has no shadow... Is that enough of a hint for you all?

Midna is link's shadow, look at the gameplay footage from the press conference, slow down the video, when midna is summoned, link's shadow moves from behind him , the under him, and then actually turns into midna, yes, so it has been solved, midna is link's shadow...

So then this brings up a whole new slew of questions, is the twilight realm simply the shadow variant of everything? does everyone have a twilight/shadow personae, why does link change into a wolf? Who are Ganon's and Zelda's twilight persona's???

PS: Just realized this, notice how when link uses the arrow/wiimote functionality, there is a highlighted area around the center, this highlighted area serves as a boundary of sorts, when link moves outside of the circle the whole camera will move with link's movements, when you are inside the circle, the camera will stay set.

Yeah ok, well, yes, I hope this discovery helps everyone out, and lessens our lack of information regarding the exsistence and inner workings of the twilight.

Yep, it seems Midna will be your "guide". What she/he says-

"Hang on. You can use your sword to make quick work of enemies right in front of you, but distant enemies are a different story."

"If you see an enemy far away, draw your bow with + < \/ >, and aim by moving the red cursor! Release the button to shoot an arrow."

"Why don't you try aiming for that scarecrow?"

So as we can see, Midna may in fact not be the master sword, but your guide. And the fire temple/ mining... place, is one of the first dungeons. Yay me.

Link gets the bow the iron boots and the boomarang before/in the first dungeons? Well its probably like the 3rd-5th. Either way it looked fun, heh i was so happy about that video I had a kick ass dream about it...

I didn't say first, I said "one of the first". And you must get the bow in that dungeon you see, because you're getting tutorials on it.

Yeah, I guess what you're saying makes sense. But one thing is still bugging me:
Midna is supposed to be evil; a dark creature.
How can a shadow be evil? (Besides from Dark Link)
And don't gimme that "Shadows are darkness, darkness is evil" crap. This shadow can animate on its own, thus it is different from a real shadow. What made the change, and what happened to Link's original shadow?

I suppose we'll have to wait for the game to come out to get the answer to that question.

Even if Midna is Link's Shadow, I'm sure there is still more to unravel about this new character.

Edit: Something else I've been wondering. In the new trailer I've noticed that Wolf Link does not only ravage the black and white Twilight from last year's e3. Has this Twilight been replaced by the new, colourful one?

Also, Midna is not an item as previously thought, he/she is the Hint button (Z).

The shadow theory does make sense, maybe rather than Midna being Link's shadow she lives in it, that's what allows her to live in the regular world.

Here's a thought, if everyone does have a shadow version, who would be evil, would that make Ganon's counterpart good? And, what if Midna is the counterpart of Zelda, making her the Twilight Princess, as, she would be Princess Midna?

I already love this game, can't wait to learn more.
