Re: The WW ending is little confusing...
Yeah exactly I think that the king of Hyrule probably had his soul attached to the boat so he was a ghost or was bound to Hyrule so he couldn't move so when Hyrule was destroyed he was set free so like he said the boat became normal so it was no longer able to talk or do anything except what a boat does didn't you notice that the boats eyes were closed and it was no longer alive

Quote:
Yeah, the King of Red Lions is the King of Hyrule. He says that when you find out that Tetra is Zelda. The boats eyes are lifeless at the end scene of them sailing out to find a new Hyrule.

Re: The WW ending is little confusing...
I believe we have sufficiently answered the question.
KoRL was the King of Hyrule, or at least possessed by him. After the King died, the boat returned to its original state, or at least lost what had given it "life." Anyone else?

I'm sure the King doesn't die. I allways looked at him as a spirit. I don't know.
He didn't float up. |

Re: The WW ending is little confusing...
Hmm interesting question. I think the king's soul was attached to Hyrule somehow, it could only live as long as Hyrule lived. He could enter the boat and go above the ocean, which he did to watch over Tetra's line with the gossip stone, but while he was in the boat, it seems he couldn't see what's going on in Hyrule (or else he probably would have known Ganon had broken into the basement towards the end of the game.) When Hyrule was destroyed, the king no longer had a reason to linger in the world I suppose, plus the land he loved was gone and who would want to spend the rest of time trapped in a boat?
