HELP! Jabu-Jabu in MQ

I have just finished Dodongo's Cavern and am moving on to the Jabu-Jabu project. Now I don't remember where to go. Ruto's father is blocking the door to Jabu-Jabu's pool and I must have his permission to enter it. My memory tells me that I have to find Ruto, but where is she??

I'm not sure how far you've gotten so I'll just cover the general idea.
First, get the silver scale by playing the mini-game with the Zora at the top of the Waterfall in Zora'a Domain. After that dive to the underground passage to Lake Hylia.

Swim around the general area where you come out and Navi should spot something and turn green. Dive down to get it and you'll get a bottle with something inside. Go to dry land and open the bottle to get the help letter from Ruto. Go back to Zora's domain and show the letter to King Zora, and he'll move out of the way, opening the passage to Jabu-Jabu.
