did anyone notice this?!?!

Did anyone notice that the door symbol has a slight resemblance to the korkiri emerald in OoT? Do you think that any other doors will resemble the other emeralds? Do the dungeons have elemental themes corresponding with the emeralds? Who knows...

Re: did anyone notice?

that can be a possibilty but if I'm not mistaking sometimes they use symbols over like for example the gerudo sign is the same sign that is on the shoulder of onox.

Re: did anyone notice?

You bring up a good point there.

Perhaps it will link back to OoT in more ways then we think?

Re: did anyone notice?

Very true...Looks like a connection there. But how deep does it go?
There is what...Three emeralds? TP is going to have alot of dungeons. So not all of them can be related.

Re: did anyone notice?

Read an article about this (and more) a little while ago, can be found here:

http://www.hyrule.net/?design=iceher...rticles&lan=en

As for my thoghts, It may just be something to make the players feel famailiar with the environment, but who knows, might have somthing to do with some event or the story.

Ya but even in Oot the emeralds were only the first three dungeons. There were many more after those. Maybe theres going to be something like that in TP.

Re: did anyone notice?

I noticed that the very same similar symbol appeared in WW also. That symbol has always represented the Great Deku Tree in my opinion. Even the Deku Shield in OoT depictd the embroidement of this same symbol. It could represent the Kokiri in a sence because the Kokiri are bound the realm of the forests that suround the Great deku Tree.

Re: did anyone notice?

It is possible that the Kokiri return since it is only a few decades after Ocarina of Time. Hell, it could be the same Forest Temple, but I doubt it. The only thing that emblem tells us is that the temple is most likely in the Lost Woods somewhere or in Kokiri Forest.

Re: did anyone notice?

The Kokiri will probably 'return'. They were in OoT and WW...and each game had the Great Deku Tree. Where there's the Great Deku Tree there are always Kokiri Children...whatever their form may be

I think the Forest Temple and all the trailers (there are mostly seens from forest areas) hint at the Great Deku Tree and Kokiri being in Twilight Princess.

Re: did anyone notice?

yeah, I never noticed that before, I guess that must mean that this dungeon area is connected to the kokiri forest or the lost woods area that has evolved for TP.
I should think it's fairly safe to assume that alot of the areas in OOT will be revisited and expanded upon. Perhaps there will also be the Earth and Wind temple areas that we missed in OOT but apparently came out of nowhere for WW.

I've only just realised that we could get to see a new version of the Gerudo valley in TP. Just imagine what the dessert collossus could be like...

Re: did anyone notice?

I know that they have re used symbols in the past, but the Deku symbol is so important and very memorable for anyone who has played OOT (ie, every single zelda fan), that it seems too obvious a hint to brush off as a continuity error. at the time of this pictures release there were only 6 (i think) other images, I am begginning to think that there may have been more hints hidden in each of them than we had originally given credit for.

Another example of this is the snowy image of wolf Link without Midna. as we already know that Link and midna will always be together in the twilight, this seems like a pretty obvious hint that Link will be able to transform outside of the twilight although at the time i didn't notice either of these points.

Methinx it's time to re-evaluate those screens.

The guy at Hryule.net already covered ALL and I mean all of the sybolism among the gorons and the deku symbol.

Re: did anyone notice?

The Nayru one is the same, but the Din's pearl and the Farore's pearl have different symbols.

An almost completed version of OOT. Has a similar symbol inside a forest-type dungeon, most likely the Deku Tree.

Re: did anyone notice?

That's not exactly the symbol of the Spiritual Stone. Rather, I believe it's more of a standard for the Kokiri. It's recurred numerous times throughout the 3D Zeldas, but no direct link to the emerald can be drawn. I'm willing to bet that it's merely a clan standard, nothing more.
