Downsized Moblins

I thought about this a while ago, but now I finally decided to make a thread about it. I noticed that the Moblins got rather small in the Windwaker from especially Ocarina of Time and any other games before it.

First off, in Ocarina of Time, you only see Moblins as an adult. Now, adult Link mus be from like 5'10 to 6'1 or something, and the regular Moblins with the spears are more than double his height. So those things have gotta be like 12 or 13 feet tall!! Now here's the odd thing, in Windwaker, and you see all Moblins as a kid, they're only about half your height, and barely sometimes. Now, the kid Link must range rom like 4 10 to 5'1 *he seems to be a lil dude like me, 5 foot ^_^* So, if the Moblins there are only about half his height then, then they'd turn out to be about8, 9 or 10 feet tall. So what's up with the sudden downsize in Moblins!? Did they take Hyrulian Stacker 2 or something!?

Re: Downsized Moblins

I don't think that the OoT Moblins are double Link's height. Maybe 1 and 1/2 times his size.

Moblins are the big guys with the staffs that have blades on the end. They patrol the Forsaken Fortress.

Re: Downsized Moblins

You mean the pig lookey thingys???? *goes to look at ZU's WW enemies page....* But really though, there aren't very many enemies that are bigger that Link in WW.]

Edit: *comes back from enemies page* Well, the main moblin isn't really much bigger than Link himself. But, i do see your point how much smaller the moblins have gotten since OOT. But need you be reminded on how the Hyrule in OOT (with those giant moblins) is under water in WW. Besides, Ganon makes just about all the enemies (i think...something like that) so, he probably remade them since his original ones were dead. Oh yeah, and why does everyone seem to need a reason for such a minor change in video games???

Re: Downsized Moblins

I think he is talking about the giant pissy creatures that were guarding the path to the Forest Temple as you were an adult.

Re: Downsized Moblins

Good point LinKami. I think you're right, and thanks for being the first one to relize taht I wasn't incorrect with the Moblins only being a bit bigger than Link.

And I just felt like making a thread discussing a lil oddity about the Zelda games, to answer your question on why I brought this up. All for fun to talk about.

Re: Downsized Moblins

Well, the only one that is really huge is the "boss" moblin who has the huge hammer that sends shockwaves toward you. But yeah, i realize that making these threads are what makes the board go around. I was just being a prick about it.

Re: Downsized Moblins

Moblins are the big ones with spears at least three times link's size. You must be refering to the bokoblins the smaller ones that are often found on sea platfroms with telescopes.

Re: Downsized Moblins

No Fireball we've established this before. Even the Moblins are only about a head taller than Link in Wind Waker, look at the offical art or check out the game yourself.

Re: Downsized Moblins

You should also take into account that the WW Moblins have their backs hunched right over, whereas the OoT Moblins stood rather tall and had a very straight almost unnatural posture.

Re: Downsized Moblins

Also the moblins in TWW are supposed to be smaller so they move as well as Link. So if you measure them up against the OoT Moblins they would be smaller. For that reason. Ever kill a moblin with your sword? I mean the ones with the spears. x_x
